SMSH newest addition, the Silver Mountain Training Hotel, is operated by SMSH to provide students with a realistic experience while being exposed to classroom learning. The training hotel consists of nine units of accommodation, two restaurants, a bar, and a rooftop beer garden where students can polish their hospitality skills with paying guests.

- Yes, you can. We offer various short-term courses from one month onwards and above certified by American Hospitality Academy, USA and CTEVT, Nepal.
What are the criteria for the Provisional Admission?
- Students must have a minimum 1.8 GPA in aggregate or D+ in every subject in their Internal Exam in their respective faculty. Each applicant must sit for the entrance test and interviews with our Management team. To secure their seats after the approval, they need to deposit a certain amount which is non-refundable. If approved, they'll be given a letter to sign stating that if any students who fail to achieve the minimum mentioned criteria will have to withdraw their names from the school but they can apply next year.

What difference does it make between DICA and BHM if I am interested to join the kitchen department after graduation?
- BHM or Bachelors in Hotel Management is a Graduate degree that prepares students for managerial responsibilities in all departments. DICA or Diploma in International Culinary Arts is a pathway leading to the BHM degree, and it prepares students to specialize in the kitchen.
Do I have to pay during my internship semester?
- The total fee is for the entire course completion. The fee structure is split so the students can pay in easy semester installments. Therefore, you have to pay during the internship semester.
What is the difference between doing a three-year DICA and a one-year culinary program?
- Three-year DICA is an academic degree with practical knowledge, including a one-year internship in a reputed hotel. The student has an option to upgrade his education in a college or a university. On the other hand, a one-year Culinary Program is a shorter version of DICA with an AHA certificate.
