Nepal College of Management was established in 1999, promoted by the Gurukul Education Foundation (GEF), and affiliated with Kathmandu University (KU) to impart excellent business education. The intensification of globalization has exposed the domestic economy to increased risks and challenges while providing opportunities in various economic spheres, including the education sector. SCHOLARSHIP & AWARDS

As part of its socio-moral responsibility, the Gurukul Education Foundation has initiated various scholarship schemes for deserving candidates. Nepal College of Management offers scholarships up to Rs. 5 million annually.

• Kathmandu University Scholarship: Deserving candidates receive a 100% full KU scholarship each year. The dean's office at the School of Management at Kathmandu University screens and selects candidates. The selection of major candidates and the continuation of this scholarship are subject to their candidates' continuous academic excellence.

• Merit-Based Scholarship: NCM has formulated a Merit-Based Scholarship Scheme under which candidates with sound academic performance are offered partial waivers of monthly tuition fees for subsequent semesters. This scholarship has no quota or seat and benefits more than 250 students. The criteria for this category of scholarship are as follows.

• Kshetra Pratap Adhikary Scholarship: In memory of founder chairman Late Kshetra Pratap Adhikary, NCM offers a 100% scholarship on a need basis, academic achievement, and contribution to the college, society, or country.

• Need-Based Scholarship: Few students with financial needs are awarded scholarships after a detailed assessment by the board of trustees.

Internship

As an essential requirement of the BBA and BHM programs, students must undertake an internship while pursuing their degrees. The internship in the BBA program is a non-credit course. The primary objective of the internship is to provide the students with real-life, on-the-job exposure to work situations. The internship allows the students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to actual business situations. The internship is conducted under the joint supervision of the College faculty member and the concerned official from the organization where the student is doing the internship.

The BHM course provides an opportunity for a one-year internship program. The students get a chance to work in national and international five-star hotels. This helps them gain practical experience and insights into the hospitality industry.

Library

NCM has a rich library with a vast collection of books, magazines, journals, manuals, periodicals, publications, and other reading materials. The library is designed so students can sit quietly, enrich their minds, and nourish their souls. It uses an automated electronic system that benefits students by allowing them to access and read the necessary books and materials.

Canteen

Students can enjoy nutritious and hygienic snacks, meals, and beverages at cost-friendly rates.

Restaurant, Bar, Kitchen & Bakery

We have separate physical infrastructure for BHM students. This block has all the facilities, including basic and advanced kitchens, a bakery, a reception, a coffee lounge, a bar, a restaurant, and a mock room required for hospitality practicals.

Classroom

Bright, spacious, and well-furnished: the classrooms have audiovisual teaching aids like overhead and multimedia projectors.
