World Vision Job Vacancy for Grant Acquisition Manager (GAM) and Senior MEAL Manager (SMM):

We are looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following positions:

1. Position: Grand Acquisition Manager

Required Number 1 (One)

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Acquisition Manager is accountable to coordinate cross-function collaboration to preposition and to develop new international funding concepts and proposals from diversified funding streams, in particular from grants and non-child sponsorship funding sources, in order to enable World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) addressing the needs of the most vulnerable girls, boys and their families and communities in Nepal. In addition, Grant Acquisition Manager is also accountable to ensure all WVIN's Grants and Non-Sponsorship Funded Projects meeting donors and World Vision Partnership's Grants compliances.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Master's degree in international development or relevant subjects such as economics, agriculture, engineering, public health, social sciences, or political sciences.
  • Should have at least 5-7 years of working in the relevant positions in Nepal.
  • Must have relevant experiences in technical project design in at least two of the following key sectors: Education, Health, Economic Development, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Child Protection. Should have proven experiences in writing project proposals and or in securing grants funding from bilateral and or multi-lateral donors.
  • Should have solid knowledge and relevant experience securing or managing grants from bilateral and multi-lateral donors particularly USAID, DFID, EU, DFAT, World Bank, and UN agencies.
  • Should have the capacity to coordinate and to assemble a team to develop and review high-quality project proposals with adherence to donor requirement.
  • Should have a good understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Approaches in the context of Nepal/South Asia.
  • Working experiences on disasters and conflict settings is a plus.
Travel requirement

15% (donors' visit and field program design). Occasional travel to the field office and remote project locations is also required.

2. Position: Senior MEAL Manager

Required Number 1 (One)

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager is accountable to establish clear, cohesive, and integrated MEAL systems in WVIN, aligned with World Vision Partnership's MEAL system; and to lead MEAL system implementation resulted in the availability of timely and accessible evidence of overall WVIN Program's impacts/results, and or information of learning, assessments, evaluation and research information. In addition, the Senior MEAL Manager is also accountable to ensure those programs information and evidence of impacts are used in developing new concepts or proposals development; policy advocacy; improvement of programs implementation; in tracking the progress of country strategy and programs; and in the strategic decision-making process by the Senior Leadership Team and Managers.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Master's degree in statistics, research methodologies, development studies, management, public health, economics, agriculture, or in the fields suitable for development.
  • Must be a Practitioner of advanced data analysis, research & evaluation skills, and log-frame and theory of change.
  • Should have a minimum of 4-5 years of managing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in International NGOs/UN.
  • Should have relevant experience in facilitating the theory of change, logical frame-work, project successes, and sustainability indicators.
  • Should have demonstrated experience in managing large/ multi-sectoral data and leading assessment, evaluation, and research.
  • Should have demonstrated experience in writing impact reports. Should have experiences in designing or managing management information system (such as dashboard, power BI, mobile-based applications)
Travel requirement

10-20% travel to field
