World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:
Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator (One)
based in West Field Office, Dhangadi
Key Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of Regional MEAL Specialist, the MEAL Coordinator will improve the quality of programmes through improved monitoring and accountability system in the programme areas, collecting and collating and verify the information received from NGO partners in a way that provides a current situation for appropriate programming and evidence of change over time. MEAL Coordinator will facilitate regular-and periodic baseline, evaluation and monitoring process in the assigned program areas working closely with WV sector teams and NGO partners to strengthen monitoring systems.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies required for the position:
A Bachelor's degree in Humanities/Arts from a recognized university with at least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation is required; Good understanding of programme logic, indicators, and M&E plan is essential along with data collection methodologies, sampling techniques, and descriptive and inferential statistical methods; Working knowledge of SPSS or STATA is preferred. Ability to articulate and implement standards and procedures is preferred; Good time management and organizing skills; Should be able to demonstrate collaboration and team building skills. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office (Advance level Excel); Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure exhibiting high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking in problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector.
