Job Vacancy Details:

Position Portfolio Advisor - Education
Duty Station Based in the National Office- WVIN, Lalitpur
Required No. 1 (one)

Key Responsibilities:

The Programs Portfolio Advisor (Education) is accountable to lead the design and write up of technically sound new (education) pr grams and concepts/proposals; to develop coherent Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) portfolio framework; to provide strategic quality oversight on (education) programs portfolio; and to lead sector programs' external engagement with government, donors, peer local/INGOs, and other stakeholders (research, university, think-thank, professional associations, etc) in order to promote evidence of World Vision's child-focused (education) programs impact; to engage in (education) policy formulation or implementation, and to create new funding opportunities for (education) programs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Master degree or equivalent in education or related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years of field experience in education programming or the equivalent in the headquarters of a major NGO (5-10 years preferred).
  • Should have good writing and analytical skills. Should have good interpersonal and communication skills; be able to communicate technical language to non-specialists with clarity.
  • Must have at least 3 years of team leadership experience and an advance understanding of the project cycle and MEAL.
  • Should have experience in education proposals development. Should be good Nepali and English, both in writing and speaking, Subject matter expert on Education programming/project models is preferred.
  • Having a good network with government, donors, and other education stakeholders are preferred.
Travel requirement

20% travelling to field office or project remote locations is required.
