VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT at WaterAid: It's hard to believe that today 771 million people do not have clean water and 1.7 billion do not have a decent toilet — around 1 in 5 of the world's population. Every two minutes a child under five dies from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation.

WaterAid Nepal seeks to recruit the following positions in playing a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation, and hygiene essential foundations for healthy and dignified lives.

Position 1:

Senior Policy, Advocacy, and Campaign Coordinator

Duration:

3 years

Duty Station:

Kathmandu (with frequent travel to Partner offices and project areas)

Position Description:

The senior coordinator will coordinate with WaterAid Nepal (WAN) internal and external teams and partners to provide a strategic contribution to strengthen WASH policy and advocacy work. S/he will design and implement Campaigns on relevant days as marked by WaterAid. Initiate organizational learning on Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI), WASH in Schools (WinS), Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM), WASH Financing, and Sanitation studies.

Position 2:

Senior Communications and Fundraising Coordinator

Duration:

3 years

Duty Station:

Kathmandu (with frequent travel to Partner offices and project areas)

Position Description:

This role is the focal person for Branding in WaterAid Nepal. S/he will lead and advise on WaterAid Nepal's strategic communication activities, channels, products and events. Support in developing and implementing the country programme funding plan and supporting mobilizing and grant funds from diverse sources with a clear communication strategy and ensure that project implementation and reporting are in compliance with requirements of contracts.
