PROGRAM OFFICER - SACRED HIMALAYAN LANDSCAPE (BASED IN FIELD)
Major Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Program Manager-Forests & Landscape; the Program Officer-Sacred Himalayan Landscape (SHL) will be responsible for the overall management of an upcoming project in the eastern hills (Terhathum, Sankhuwasava and Taplejung districts) within the SHL. S/he will be responsible for coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for the project in coordination with partners and line agencies
Qualifications:
A Bachelors' degree in Forestry (preferably Master's) is required with at least 3 years of experience in implementing and managing programs/projects, with extensive knowledge and experience on community-based forest management and community-based conservation. Preference will be given to individual having prior experience of working in mountain environments and with local communities.
