University Grants Commission (UGC) Notification: Vacant Positions to be filled through Competitive Exam
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced vacant positions to be filled permanently through open/inclusive competition. As per the agreement with the Public Service Commission (PSC), the competitive written examination will be conducted by the PSC. The notice no. 2/ 2079/80 has been published regarding the same.
Open/Inclusive Positions and Details
The following vacant positions are to be filled permanently through open/inclusive competition:
- Senior Assistant, Assistant Level I, Administration, General Administration, Open, 2 (two)
- Senior Assistant, Assistant Level I, Administration, General Administration, Adivasi Janajati, 1 (one)
- Senior Assistant, Assistant Level I, Administration, General Administration, Dalit, 1 (one)
- Senior Assistant, Assistant Level I, Administration, Accounting, Open, 1 (one)
Examination Details
- Type of Examination: Written Examination, Computer Proficiency Test, and Interview (in case of Assistant Level First Class, Administration Service, General Administration Group, and Accounts Group Posts).
- Type of Service: Permanent.
- Age Limit of Candidates: Candidates should be completed 18 years and not exceeding 35 years in case of Senior Assistant post, and not exceeding 40 years in case of female candidates. There will be no age limit in case of employees in permanent service of this Commission.
- Last Date of Application: Within 21 days (2080/01/21) from the date of first publication of this notice and in case of double duty within 7 more days.
Application Fee and Form
- The application fee for the post of Assistant Level First Class Senior Assistant is Rs.800/-, and an additional fifty percent of the prescribed fee for each additional inclusive group in the case of candidates applying in the inclusive group.
- The application form and syllabus can be downloaded from the Commission's website www.ugcnepal.edu.np.
- The application fee must be deposited in the name of the University Grants Commission from any other branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Sanothimi Bank, to account no. 1730100000214001, and the receipt received from there must be attached with the application.
- The application fee of applicants whose application is rejected due to non-compliance will not be refunded.
Qualifications and Additional Documents
Required Minimum Qualifications and Period of Service:
- Assistant Level First Class, Administration Service, General Administration Group, and Accounts Group Senior Assistant Post Graduation or equivalent in the related subject from a recognized educational institution.
Additional documents to be submitted by applicants for inclusion:
- In the case of tribals, tribes listed in the National Foundation for Upliftment of Aadibasi/Janjati Act must be certified.
- In the case of Dalits, on the basis of the same list as in the case of castes listed by the National Dalit Commission, it shall be certified by the Chief District Officer as a surname within the caste on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level.
Other Details
- Probation period: 6 months for female employees and 1 year for male employees.
- The written examination program and examination center conducted by the Public Service Commission will be published later on the commission's website www.ugcnepal.edu.np and in the National Daily newspaper.
- A person who has been disqualified from participating in any examination conducted by the Commission for a certain period of time in relation to examination irregularities by the Public Service Commission will not be eligible for the application.
