1. Job Title: Programme Specialist, Gender-Based Violence (1 position)

Position: Responsible for the management and implementation of UNFPA's flagship Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response programme (Phase II) including direct supervision of the programme team; provision of high-quality policy, advocacy and technical support; effective coordination with concerned Government, NGOs and civil society partners; and contribution to learning and knowledge sharing under the programme.
Eligibility:
- Master's Degree in Women's or Gender Studies, Social Work, Development Studies or other social sciences or public/community health, as it relates to gender and GBV.
- At least 5 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience in programme and project management, including large multi-sectoral projects, designing and appraising proposals and actively liaising with relevant and potential project partners.
- Strong English speaking, oral and writing skills.
- Knowledge of gender issues, particularly GBV prevention, response and referral pathways. Understanding of male engagement and behavioural change approaches including familiarity with SASA! strongly preferred.
- Experience in utilizing the following internationals tools and systems: GBV Standard Operating Procedures; GBV Information Management System; IASC GBV Guidelines; IASC Gender Handbook; GBV Minimum Standards; GBV Coordination Handbook; WHO Ethical and Safety Recommendations for Researching, Documenting and Monitoring Sexual Violence in Emergencies; the global Essential Services Package for Women and Girls.
- Demonstrated management and oversight experience with the capacity to lead diverse teams, strongly preferred.
2. Job Title: Programme Specialist, Family Planning (1 position)

Position: Responsible for providing the high-quality policy, advocacy and technical leadership on family planning including commodity security and supply chain management; engaging in health financing for the sustainability of the family planning programme; ensuring effective collaboration with key Government, NGOs and civil society partners to advance family planning as part of the sexual and reproductive health programme; and oversight and management of the family planning programme and team in the UNFPA office.
Eligibility:
- Master's Degree in Public Health, with at least 5 years professional experience in policy advocacy work and in managing health programmes, preferably in the area of sexual and reproductive health and family planning (SRH/FP) and supply chain management or Medical Doctor (MBBS).
- Knowledge of decentralization of health system in federal Nepal as well as of the latest developments in the field of SRH/FP including health financing and health systems strengthening is preferable.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide strategic technical leadership, handle complexities and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders essential.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and team-working skills required.
- The high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Nepali required. Ability to elaborate reports, document and disseminate good practices essential.
