Position:
The Head of the Provincial Office (PO) plays a leadership role in determining the priorities and shaping strategic interventions at the provincial and local level in the development and humanitarian contexts in line with UNFPA's mandate.
S/he ensures the effective management of UNFPA activities across result areas within the respective Province and priority Municipalities to accelerate the achievement of the ICPD Programme of Action and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
S/he leads and motivates the UNFPA provincial and local staff to advance the UNFPA policy and programme results in collaboration with the UNFPA Country Office in Kathmandu and other development partners.
S/he effectively positions UNFPA to lead on issues of population and development, sexual and reproductive health, and gender equality in development and humanitarian contexts through policy advocacy efforts, ensuring coordinated engagement across the UN system with national counterparts and other development partners.
S/he substantively contributes to the management, coordination and quality assurance of planning, implementation, monitoring and results reporting of UNFPA interventions in the Province and priority Municipalities.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the UNFPA Representative, the Head of the Provincial Office contributes to expanding the range of UNFPA deliverables in the Province and priority Municipalities, within UNFPA's mandate, based on national, provincial and local level priorities and in collaboration with the key stakeholders at all levels and is responsible for:

Position:

Population dynamics plays an important role in determining pathways to sustainable development, making it a critical factor in formulating and implementing development strategies, policies and programmes at all levels. Strong data systems enable countries to track and address inequalities and target their investments at the federal, provincial and local levels. Reporting directly to the Representative, s/he will be responsible for:

The Position:
The Humanitarian Specialist plays a leadership role in humanitarian preparedness and response for the UNFPA Nepal country and provincial offices. S/he will maintain collaborative relationships with the relevant government line ministries and departments, civil society organizations, the United Nations funds, programmes specialized agencies and other humanitarian partners, at all levels.

5. Job Title: Programme Analyst, Data (1 position)

The Position:
The Programme Analyst, Data, is responsible for the generation and analysis of socio-economic and demographic data at national, provincial and local levels.

S/he supports all UNFPA programmatic areas through the generation and use of data, and data-based analytical products and demographic intelligence at national and sub-national levels for upstream policy engagement and programme planning and implementation. S/he will help to build the in-house statistical literacy of UNFPA staff and partners across programmatic areas. Reporting directly to the Programme Specialist, Population Policy and Data, s/he will be responsible for:

S/he provides technical and policy advice in sexual and reproductive health, promotes rights-based approaches, positions UNFPA's work strategically within the health sector, and ensures linkages with other UNFPA programmes in the areas of adolescent and youth, gender equality and population dynamics. S/he will work under the overall supervision of the Programme Specialist, SRHR and is responsible for:
- Policy Dialogue and Technical Support
- Advocacy and Resource Mobilization
- Programme Management and Coordination
