United Mission to Nepal (UMN) Job Vacancy for Project Manage (DDR):

Position: Project Manager - Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

Location: Mugu
The main purpose of this position is to manage DRR and WASH projects and to contribute to the implementation of UM N's Cluster strategy, technical backstopping in DRR and other related issues to build relationships and develop new concepts to support the projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Engineering/Environmental Science or related field with three years' experience in integrated project management with particular focus on DRR and WASH Or, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Environmental Science or related field with five years' experience in integrated project management with particular focus on DRR and WASH;
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of current DRR and WASH issues in Nepal;
- Experience in advocacy, partnership in the community, networking with the local government, service providers, and financial institutions;
- Strong experience in project management including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and developing proposals;
- Experience in project assessment, design, implementation, and monitoring processes;
- Familiar with up-to-date poverty eradication strategies, policies, and development practices in Nepal and outside;
- Cross-cultural work experience preferred;
- Excellent communication skills both in Nepali and English. Written English must be of an excellent standard.
