Job Title: Programme Analyst Census NOB

Duration: 1 Year Initially

The Position: In 2022-23, UNFPA Nepal CO is technically supporting the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) to fully analyse and disseminate the results of the 2021 population and housing census of Nepal for planning and policy use. UNFPA requires the services of a Programme Analyst, Census. The Programme Analyst, Census will report to the UNFPA Census Coordinator and provide substantive support to the CBS on all activities relating to the 2021 Nepal Population and Housing Census. The Programme Analyst is responsible for:

  • Technical Guidance
  • Knowledge Management
  • Programme Management and Coordination
  • Undertaking any other census-related tasks as specified by the Census Coordinator.

Eligibility criteria for the above position:

  • Advanced university degree in demography, statistics, public health, or another social science-related discipline.
  • At least two years of professional experience in census planning, data collection and analysis. Experience in the use of

statistical packages such as SPSS, R, or STATA for demographic and socio-economic analytical purposes. Experience in providing training in demographic and socio-economic data and analysis. Familiarity with the ICPD PoA and the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
