Position:

The HR Associate provides leadership in the execution of the full range of HR services ensuring their transparency and integrity. The HR Associate promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and facilitates the maintenance of high staff morale. S/he delivers effective human resources advice and services to internal and external clients in compliance with established rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. S/he takes a client-oriented and results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the UNFPA country office, ensuring proper functioning of the HR management system. Reporting directly to the International Operations Manager, the HR Associate is responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning and Management of Human Resources.

  • Hiring and Administration of Individual Consultants.

Position:

The Administrative Associate ensures the execution of transparent and efficient services and processes, promotes a client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach in accordance with Financial Rules and Regulations, relevant administrative/asset policies, and procurement procedures of the UNFPA. The Administrative Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects staff in the UNFPA country office and with UNFPA Headquarters staff. Under the direct supervision of the International Operations Manager, the Administrative Associate

  • leads the implementation of operational strategies.
  • Provides oversight to ensure effective and efficient provision of administrative support services.
  • Leads store management and inventory/asset management; common services.
  • Provides leadership to ensure effective administrative, procurement and financial control in the office.
  • Support to Staff and Personnel in Security Management, as the alternate Security Focal Point for UNFPA Nepal.
  • Provides leadership to promote knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the UNFPA country office.

The Position:

The Programme Associate supports the design, planning and management of UNFPA's country programme by managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring project implementation and following up on recommendations. In collaboration with other programme and technical team members, the Programme Associate provides strategic support to evidence-based planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the interventions undertaken in the team(s). The Programme Associate will also work in close collaboration with the other teams in the office, including the Operations Team and with UNFPA staff working at the sub-national level. Under the supervision of a Programme Specialist/Coordinator, the Programme Associate will provide support to one or more of the core thematic teams and be responsible for:

  • Evidence-based Programme Planning and Implementation.
  • Programme Management and Oversight.
  • Knowledge Management and Resource Mobilization.
  • Financial, Administrative and other Operational Support.

The Position:

The Administrative and Finance Associate (AFA) positions are located in each of the three UNFPA Nepal Provincial Offices in Janakpur, Dhangadhi and Butwal, and supports the operations of the provincial offices as an extension of the Operations Team. The Admin/Finance Associate supports the UNFPA team at the province and local level by performing a range of administrative and financial processes and facilitating effective programme management and oversight with respect to operations. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Provincial Office, the Admin/Finance Associate is responsible for:

  • Provision of effective and efficient administrative and operational support services.
  • Provision of accurate accounting and financial management support.
  • Provision of effective programme management support.

The Provincial Programme Assistant will be under the supervision of the Head of Provincial Office and will provide support to one or more of the core thematic teams and be responsible for:

  • Support to Programme Management.
  • Support to Knowledge Management.
  • Financial, Administrative, and other Operational Support.
