The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is present in more than 30 countries around the world and is working in Nepal since 1957 with its Health and Disability interventions, Inclusive Development, Research, and Advocacy activities. TLMN is looking for a competitive candidate for the following vacancy based at Anandaban Hospital, Mycobacterial Research Lab (MRL), Lele, Lalitpur-14.

1. Position: Research Technical Officer (RTO)

Minimum Qualification:

M.sc. in Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field involving medical laboratory scientific data management. Experience working in office responsibilities as an executive assistant or in drafting reports is desired. Excellent computer and communication skill is required.

Key Responsibility:

The incumbent will work closely with Research Director and Team to assist in department communication, monitoring, and evaluation, drafting reports, developing the proposal, inventory maintenance, supply ordering, and data entry, coordination of training, workshop and meetings.

2. Position: Research Assistant(s)

Minimum Qualification:

Msc in Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field involving medical laboratory, scientific. Prefer study or experience in addition to the above: Molecular, Biology, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, MPH should have 1+ years' experience. Excellent computer and communication skills are required.

Key Responsibility:

The incumbent will work closely with the Research Director and Team to develop, implement and analyze research projects. This will involve ethics; database design; entry and management; project fieldwork and analyses; report writing and presentation; assisting in developing workshops and training of others.

3. Position: Clinical Laboratory Research Coordinator

Minimum Qualification:

MSc Medical Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Medical Technology; BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT); 5+ years as a laboratory in charge in 100+ bed hospital; active roles in published biomedical research

Preferred: Biomedical Ph.D., clinical trial experience.

Key Responsibility:

The incumbent will manage the routine clinical laboratories and work closely with the Research Director and Team to develop, implement, analyze, report and publish research projects. The incumbent will assist in coordinating clinical research sampling and design. This will involve ensuring GCP and GCLP are supported and coordinated within multidisciplinary projects.
