Swisscontact, established in 1959 in Switzerland, is a leading partner organization for implementing international development projects. The organization promotes inclusive economic, social, and ecological development, contributing effectively to sustainable and widespread prosperity in developing and emerging economies.

Registered as an International Non-Governmental Organisation in Nepal, Swisscontact has been operating since 1991 and is currently implementing six development programmes across all seven provinces of Nepal.

The NVQS Project (NVQS-P) Phase-II is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. It is implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT)/National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) at the federal level, and by the Ministries of Social Development/Education in the provinces. The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), with Swisscontact providing technical assistance on behalf of SDC.

NVQS-P plans to hire a Monitoring Officer (subject to the extension of the current project phase) and thus invites applications from qualified Nepali citizens.

Position: Monitoring Officer, Gandaki Province (01 - Pokhara Based)

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in economics, finance, public policy, business administration, or any related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in project monitoring, particularly in TVET programmes/projects.
  • Strong commitment and experience in supporting the team to promote gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and in implementing GESI-sensitive approaches across all aspects of work.
  • Good command of English and Nepali languages (both written and spoken).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project intervention areas.
