Swisscontact Job Vacancy for PSE and MRM:
Swisscontact is a business-oriented independent foundation for international development cooperation. Represented in 38 countries with over 1,200 employees, it promotes - since 1959- economic, social, and environmental development. Swisscontact is planning to implement the "Strengthening the Employment Ecosystem Project" in Province 1. The primary goal of the project is to increase the income of the target groups through productive and sustained employment contributing to poverty reduction and resilient livelihoods.
We invite applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions based at Swisscontact Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent visit to field areas in Province 1:
1. Position: Manager Private Sector Engagement (PSE)
Purpose: The PSE Manager is responsible for the planning, designing, and monitoring of interventions that aim at supporting relevant private sector stakeholders such as labour market insertion service providers, business development service providers, training providers, financial institutions, and other entrepreneurship support organizations to upgrade their products and services or to develop and implement innovative business models.
Required Education and Experience: A Master's Degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing similar initiatives (ecosystem development, entrepreneurship development, private sector partnerships); familiar with the government structure, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and have an excellent understanding of challenges for MSMEs growth; excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Nepali
2. Position: Officer - Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM)
Purpose: The Monitoring and Results Measurement officer Is responsible for supporting the design of a 'monitoring and results measurement system' and evidence-generation strategies that support learning and adaptive management and leading the learning and reporting needs of the project.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in Monitoring and Results Measurement and Learning; experience with quantitative and qualitative research and capable of designing survey tools, data entry, data analysis and writing report; well versed in results measurements in private sector development/market systems development projects; outstanding command of MS Excel. Command of MS Access, SPSS, and other suitable statistical packages will be an added advantage; Excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali
