Revival economic of covid-19 affected communities in Nepal project run by Sunwal Community Development Center, Nawalparasi with financial and technical support of United Mission to Nepal (Shrawan 2071 Shrawan 1 Ashoj 2078) to be implemented in Palhinandan Rural Municipality of Nawalparasi District. As there is a need for experienced, honest, and skilled staff, applications are invited from Nepali citizens as mentioned below.

1. Project Coordinator-Livelihood

Required Number: One (1)

Areas of work: All wards of Palhinandan Rural Municipality (Office: Sunwal Municipality-1 Sunwal)

Educational Qualification: Special acceptance to those who have graduated and have at least 2 years of experience working in the field of livelihood in a social institution, Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.) Or graduate in a related subject.

Required technical knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Experience of working as a program/project coordinator/officer in the field of community development in any governmental or non-governmental organization.
  • Gained practical knowledge and skills and experience related to micro-enterprises such as economic recovery, backlash income-generating activities, commercial vegetable farming, fisheries, animal husbandry and food farming, marketing, value chain, and agriculture and non-agricultural commercialization.

Common Knowledge Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good skills and knowledge of project cycle and management as well as detailed implementation plan and report knowledge of project activities, skills, and experience in writing experience (Nepali and English language).
  • Theoretical knowledge of good governance and experience working with local government.
  • Has good skills in team operation and management and effective communication.
  • Good knowledge and skills related to computer use (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, etc.).
  • Ability to carry out assigned responsibilities on time and sometimes under pressure to meet the demands and needs of the organization and the project.
  • Has the knowledge, skills, and ability to build, liaise, coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders at the state, local, and district levels. Also has good skills of team operation and management.
  • Must be honest to the organization and community, have a sense of service, and be able to bear accountability and responsibility and not be involved in any issue, fraud, corruption, and abuse.

2. Post: Accounts Officer

Required Number: One (1) Sunwal Municipality-1 Sunwal)

Area of work: All wards of Palhinandan Rural Municipality (Office: Sunwal Municipality-1 Sunwal)

Educational Qualification: BBS / BBA or equivalent (with at least two years of work experience) or, I + 10 + 2 or equivalent in management faculty (at least four years of work experience)

Required knowledge, skills, and experience of the Accounts Officer:

  • Experience as an accountant or finance and administrative officer in programs or projects in a non-governmental organization or any financial institution.
  • To be able to keep financial records in the double accounting system. Be able to keep records of purchases, stores, and materials.
  • Able to work in MS Word, Excel on the computer, can keep accounting program on the computer, and can run database and accounting related software (Money Works Gold). Be able to make detailed budget details of the program.
  • Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial reports as per the compliance of the partner organization.
  • Be able to manage the administrative work and communication of the organization and be able to monitor and evaluate the financial aspects of the programs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks on time and sometimes under pressure to meet the demands of the organization and the project. Honest to the organization and community, has a sense of service, and can bear accountability and responsibility.
  • Must not be involved in any issues, fraud, corruption, and abuse.
  • Special attention will be given to the locals.
