1. Position: Program Development and Quality (PDQ) Director

Required No. (s): 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in Country  Office, Kathmandu

Job Description:

Responsible for driving cross-functional engagement in the development and delivery of Country Strategy Plans (CSPs), ensuring quality assurance, developing annual plans, supporting the measurement, and reporting of results and impacts. S/he is responsible for ensuring development and delivery of evidence-based, innovative programs for children, in all contexts, that contribute to Save the Children's global Breakthroughs: Learn, Survive, Be Protected; supports strategic positioning with donors and partners and leads on project design to ensure that the country office strategy can be delivered in line with child rights programming principles. This role is a part of the Senior Management Team (SMT).

Eligibility: 

Master's degree in relevant social science (especially in Child Development or Community Development), human rights, development studies, Ph.D. (preferred), experience in NGO management and/or equivalent fields with a minimum of 10 years (7 years for GSI group') of progressive senior management and/or development experience, including experience in designing and implementation of programs for children.

2. Position: Finance Director 

Required No. : 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in Country Office, Kathmandu

Job Description:

Responsible for developing financial strategies, engaging in the development and delivery of Country Strategy Plans (CSPs), developing financial annual plans, and reporting on results. The Finance Director - as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), shares the overall responsibility for the financial direction and coordination of the Nepal/Bhutan Country Office. The position holder will be accountable to the Country Director (CD) for effective financial, planning, control, and compliance services in both emergencies and development programming contexts.

Eligibility: 

Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)/ Certified Account or equivalent in a related discipline(s) with specialization in Finance and with a minimum of 10 years (7 years for GSI group*) of experience in leading financial and grant management and progressive senior management experience.

3. Position: Technology for Development (T4D) Specialist

Required No: 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in Country  Office, Kathmandu

Job Description:

Responsible for quality design and integration of T4D projects, products, and services to advance the goals of Save the Children in Nepal; will work closely with colleagues across Save the Children Nepal office as well as the Asia Regional Office and the Centre including thematic/cross-thematic experts, new business development staff and T4D counterparts and others to ensure that our existing and upcoming projects adequately and appropriately incorporate technology solutions.

Eligibility: 

Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business  Administration, International Development or any other ICT related field with a minimum of 7 years (5 years for GSI group) of demonstrated experience in any area of expertise, of which at least 5 years directly relevant work experience in ICT4D or similar technology and innovative strategy and implementation role at an international NGO or similar organisations.
