Rural Enterprises and Remittances Project (RERP) (SAMRIDDHI) is a joint initiative of the Government of Nepal (GoN) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) with the aim to provide sustainable sources of income to poor households, migrant families and returnees by supporting range of credible economic opportunities that includes decent employment, local enterprises promotion and microenterprises linked to high-value farm & off farm supply chains having good growth potential following cluster-based approach. MOICS is the Lead Project Agency in partnership with Helvetas Nepal and AEC. The Project covers 16 districts of 3 provinces following a corridor approach linking districts along the main roads running south to north to facilitate the connection of hill communities to larger markets in Terai.
SAMRIDDHI now invites the applications from potential candidates for the following position:
Position: Senior Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management Specialist (SMEKMS)
Duration: Up to March 2024
Duty station: PMO, Itahari, Sunsari with frequent visits to Kathmandu and the project districts
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for guiding the overall MIstE and KM strategy implementation within the Project and vis-a-vis partners, plus providing timely and relevant information to the Project Manager, PMO and Project stakeholders upon analysis of data. This requires close coordination and communication with the Project Partners, component leads, municipalities, and field staff as well as consultants of M&E-related external
- Ensure a highly effective, fully functional, and robust project management information system (PMIS) and prepare AWPB & reports as per GoN and IFAD requirements including preparing KM Plan to capture knowledge and lessons generated in the project for its wider dissemination at various level.
- Support Senior Management Team to conduct regular evidence-based review of progress and decision making, including using data and analysis generated from the project M&E, MIS and knowledge activities and coordinate with relevant IFAD staff from the Asia and the Pacific Division, Strategy and Knowledge Department (SKD) and IFAD's Country Office as required.
Academic Qualifications and Work Experience:
Masters' degree in development, communication, or journalism or equivalent with at least 10 years of professional experience in development field and at least 5 years of proven experience specific with planning, design and implementation of M&E systems, Communication and/or Knowledge Management.
