Room to Read Vacancy for Manager and Associate:
Room to Read (RtR) seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income countries by focusing on Literacy and Gender Equality in Education. Padhnako Lag' Kotha (PLK) is it's the sole implementing partner. RtR Nepal and PLK invites application from interested Nepali citizens for the following positions;
1. Manager - Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (RMIIIE-RtR position): 1
Location: Kathmandu based
The Manager - RM&E, Nepal's role is to oversee all aspects of RtR Nepal CO's monitoring, evaluation, and research activities in coordination with the Global RM&E team. This position reports to the Country Director, Nepal, and is a part of the Nepal Country Management Team (CMT). The position is based in Kathmandu and requires frequent travel to the field offices and project sites within different parts of Nepal and occasional international travel.
The key selection criteria are:
- Masters or advanced degree in social sciences or relevant field.
- At least 10 years of post-education relevant experience in the development sector or international development in line with the duties and responsibilities outlined
- Strong technical competence in research, monitoring and evaluation theories, methods, and their practical application in the field.
2. Associate, Girls'Education Program (PLK Position): 1
Location: Nuwakot based - (Female only
The Associate, Girls' Education Program (GEPA) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Padhnako Lagi Kotha's (PLK's) Girls' Education Program (GEP) in the direct supervision of Field Manager, Program Operations (FPM). She will be involved in implementing and monitoring of Enhanced GEP program. She will be constantly engaged in working to improve the GEP program by engaging schools, teachers, communities, and GEP participants through Social Mobilizers to ensure that PLK's GEP program is being effectively operated.
The key selection criteria are:
- Bachelor's degree in Education/Gender studies/ Development studies or relevant
- Minimum of 2 years of professional working experience with school students
- Ability to travel frequently to districts throughout PLK's project sites.
