Right4Children Seeks Social Mobilization Officer to Promote Young Women's Employment in Pokhara
Introduction: Right4Children is a leading organization working towards child protection, education, and livelihood development in Pokhara and other regions of Nepal. The organization is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Social Mobilization Officer for its project Promoting Young Women in Employment in Pokhara.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and requirements:
- Good working knowledge and experience in community mobilization, vocational training, and tourism sector.
- Excellent skills in networking, partnership building, training and facilitation, communication and negotiation, teamwork and motivation.
- Excellent command over English and Nepali languages, both in writing and speaking.
- Bachelor's degree (running may also apply) in Gender & Development studies, Sociology, Rural development, Social Work, Human Rights, or related studies with 3 years proven experience in the related field.
Key Responsibilities:
The Social Mobilization Officer will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting social mapping to identify potential youth for job training and their occupational interests while following gender, PWD, and marginalized group's ratio.
- Building rapport and regular communication with trainees, parents, and targeted communities to ensure their involvement in retaining the trainees and sending their young children/youth to decent jobs through skills training.
- Conducting workshops, orientations, and meetings with various stakeholders to promote decent work and gender equality.
- Coordinating among training partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring that planned training programs are being carried out by training partners as per the timeline.
- Producing regular and periodic project progress reports.
