Psychologist Vacancy – Bagmati Province, Health Directorate

Government of Bagmati Province, Ministry of Health, Health Directorate, Hetauda, Nepal, Notice Regarding Employee Recruitment on Contract Service.

Under the Safe Migration Program (Phase Four) Operational Guidelines, 2081, the Health Directorate requires the appointment of employees on a contract basis for the following post until the end of Asar 2082. Therefore, qualified and interested Nepali citizens who have not been disqualified for government service or are subject to any punitive actions are invited to apply within fifteen (15) days from this notice's publication date. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format according to Schedule 2 of the Procedure for Management of Contract Service of Doctors and Health Workers, 2078, along with the revenue deposit receipt.

3. Application Deadline: Chaitra 21, 2081 (Thursday) within office hours. (If this date falls on a public holiday, submission will be accepted the following working day.)

Required Academic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology (Clinical Psychology Major, Counseling Psychology, or School Psychology) from a recognized university, and at least two years of experience in the related field, including supervision of psychosocial counselors.

• Preference will be given to candidates with Training of Trainers (TOT) in Psychosocial Counseling Training prepared by the National Health Training Center (NHTC).

OR

• Postgraduate Diploma in Counseling with at least three years of experience as a supervisor of psychosocial counselors, and must have completed TOT training by the NHTC.

Priority will also be given to those who have conducted six-month psychosocial counseling training as per the NHTC module, and have worked closely in coordination with local and provincial governments.

Additional Requirements:

• Good knowledge of computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, Internet, KOBO Tool).

• Ability to type in both Nepali and English, and prepare reports fluently in both languages.

Minimum Age Requirement:

Must have completed 21 years of age.
