Press Council Nepal: Advertisement for Open and Inclusive Competitive Written Examination
As per the approval received from the Public Service Commission, applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the following vacant permanent positions in this Council.
Applicants must affix a recently taken passport-size photo in the designated area of the application form and submit self-attested copies of their academic qualification certificates, training certificates, experience documents, and Nepali citizenship certificate to Press Council Nepal.
The examination fee must be deposited in the current account number 08401010000160 of Press Council Nepal at Global IME Bank, Sinamangal Branch. The deposit voucher should be attached to the application.
Applications can also be submitted within 7 (seven) days after the deadline by paying double the examination fee. If the last application submission date falls on a public holiday, applications will be accepted on the next working day.
The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

- Not exceeding 35 years for males and 40 years for females

Examination Fee:
- NPR 700/- (Seven Hundred) for Assistant Level Fifth
- NPR 500/- (Five Hundred) for Assistant Level Fourth

Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Certificate Level or equivalent from a recognized educational institution
OR - Passed Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2
OR - In Class 11 and 12, must have obtained at least a D+ grade in each subject (theoretical and practical) with a GPA of 1.6 from a recognized institution.
Note:
As per the order issued by the Honorable Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 in relation to the Writ No. 078-WO-0660, the recruitment will be carried out in accordance with legal provisions once finalized.
Important Notes:
- Applicants must not be disqualified as per the Press Council Staff Regulations, 2079.
- The extended deadline (double fee submission) will not be considered for age, educational qualification, experience duration, or other eligibility purposes.
- Applications not submitted within the specified time, lacking minimum qualifications, incomplete information, or unpaid fees will not be accepted.
- The required educational qualification must be attained by the final application date.
- Candidates who have studied from foreign institutions must submit an equivalency certificate issued by the concerned authority.
- The Recruitment Committee reserves the right to reject any application with or without stating a reason.
