We invite applications from interested candidates for the following positions:
1. MERL Specialist
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2026) based in Country Office
Responsibility:
Primarily responsible to facilitate the programme/project team with the development of results framework. He/she will be assigned with the task of critically/strategically analyzing Plan’s ongoing programme/project (in collaboration with other MERL specialists) to inform the technical team and new opportunities. Collaboration with the Research, Evaluation and Knowledge Management Specialist, lead all evaluations and research activities. Support the MERL Manager in providing capacity building, training and mentoring in MERL to relevant staff in the country office, field offices and partner organization. Perform quantitative analyses using appropriate software (i.e., SPSS, or STATA or any statistical application). Prepare, disseminate and follow up MERL report as part of Plan International’s information management system.
2. MERL Coordinator
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2026) based in Regional Office West-Surkhet
Responsibility:
Collect, review and share high quality, timely, accurate and complete programme/project-based monitoring information, research and evaluation data to support and inform overall project/programme being implemented at the regional as well as country level. Support and capacity building trainings provided to partners’ MERL focal staff in establishing effective project monitoring system through coaching, mentorship, on the job training, site visits and other technical supports. Regular field (project site) visits and interactions with project stakeholders of concerned programme team to assess progress of project activities/interventions are organized; feedback (observations and recommendations) of the field visits are documented; concerned Programme Coordinators are provided with necessary support to identify and monitor actions to response feedback on a regular basis.
