Plan International seeks the following positions for an anticipated USAID-funded education program in Nepal. These positions are contingent upon donor funding and approval.
1. Chief of Party:
Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of the project including leading strategic planning and decision making, providing technical guidance, overseeing activities of the sub-recipients, and supervising staff, and serving as the key liaison with USAID, Ministries, implementing partners, and other stakeholders.
Requirement:
Master's degree in international development, education, public policy, social sciences, or related field. Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in a related field. Previous experience of leading USAID-funded projects, preferably in Nepal. Demonstrated commitment to gender transformative programming and experience in implementing programs with gender-focused components. Proven leadership qualities, excellent program and personnel management skills. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
2. Deputy Project Lead:
Master's degree preferred in education international development or another relevant field. Minimum eight (8) years of experience in education or related technical areas with senior management or leadership position experience. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
3. Finance and Operations Expert:
Master's degree in finance or financial management, and/or a professional qualification in accountancy preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of extensive experience in financial management and/or project administration. Proven analytical skills in isolating priorities and tackling them. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
4. GESI Expert:
Master's degree in International Development, sociology, ethnology, anthropology, education, or other relevant degrees in social science. Minimum five (5) years of experience in gender issues related to education, parent and community engagement, and local partner capacity building. Work experience in effective development and execution of gender and inclusion training and other capacity development endeavors. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation Expert:
Master's degree in relevant field. Minimum seven (7) years of experience designing and implementing monitoring and evaluating activities for complex programs. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
6. Education Technical Lead:
Master's degree in International Development and/or Education or; Bachelor's degree in International Development and or/ Education. Minimum seven (7) years of experience working in designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in Nepal. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
