Plan International Job Vacancy for Finance Coordinator, Project Specialist, and MEAL Officer:

We implement programmes through local development partners in 24 districts in cooperation with the Nepal government, civil society organisations, and schools.

STEAM Ahead is a European Union-funded project which within the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as actors of governance for SDG 4 will contribute to inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for the children of Dolpa in the context of recovery of the COVID-19 crisis in the education sector. The project aims for systemic change in the way basic education is delivered and will strengthen civil society's ability to shape the education system. The project's key focus will be on inclusion and gender transformative programming in order to strengthen local governance and inclusive quality education delivery.

We invite application from interested and eligible candidates for the following positions:

1. Project Specialist-Education-STEAM ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalized children in Karnali -1 Position

Fixed-term employment until June 2024 of employment-based in Dolpa.

Program Specialist - Education will provide technical expertise and guidance to implement overall education programs in Dolpa with special focus on EC-funded project-STEAM Ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalized children in Karnali. S/he will act as the consortium leader of the education project-STEAM Ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalized children in Karnali; and will be fully responsible for ensuring quality implementation of the project to meet the project objectives and goals.

2. Finance Coordinator- STEAM ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalised children in Karnali -1 Position

Fixed-term employment until June 2024 of employment-based in Dolpa.

The Finance Coordinator (STEAM ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalised children in Karnali) will be responsible for the effective project finance management to ensure that project activities implemented are at the best quality with the most competitive costs and they respond to CO, NO and GH Policies and procedures in compliance with donor's condonation. The position is based on Dolpa under regional office-west (either in Partner office or other arrangements- to be decided). This position has effectively coordinated with the Finance department of the regional office west and the Country finance team. Active coordination with the relevant program team and other functions is necessary.

3. MERL officer for STEAM ahead: Showing Talent, Equality & Ambition of Marginalized children in Karnali -1 Position

Fixed-term employment until June 2024 of employment-based in Dolpa.

The Monitoring, Evaluation Research, and Learning (MERL) Officer are to collect, review and share high quality, timely, accurate, and complete programme/project-based monitoring information, research, and evaluation data to support and inform overall project/programme being implemented at the regional as well as country level. The MERL Officer will focus on supporting partner organizations to improve their projects' monitoring and evaluation system.
