Patan Academy of Health Science Internal and Open Competition Job Vacancy Notice 2081
Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) Service Commission, Internal Competition and Open Inclusive Advertisement. In accordance with the approval of the Public Service Commission, the following academic, technical, and administrative vacancies at Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) are to be filled through internal and open inclusive competitive examinations. Eligible Nepali citizens who have completed 21 years for officer-level posts and 18 years for assistant-level posts are invited to apply. For academic service posts, the upper age limits are 42 years for Assistant Professor, 45 years for Associate Professor, and 50 years for Professor. For technical services, the upper age limit is 40 years, and for administrative services, it is 35 years.
For internal competitive promotions, permanent employees working one level below the advertised post with at least three years (assistant level) or four years (officer level) of permanent service as per institutional regulations are eligible to apply by 2082/01/11 and with double fee by 2082/01/18. Current permanent employees of the institution applying under open/inclusive categories are not subject to age limits.
Applications not submitted online within the deadline or not meeting the required criteria will not be processed. The candidate will be responsible for any false information submitted.
Note:
Educational qualifications, inclusive category certificates, council registration, training, experience, and service period obtained after 2082/01/11 will not be considered.

For Indigenous communities: Document verifying listed ethnic groups from the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Act, with recommendations from the local level and verification from the Chief District Officer if multiple surnames exist within the group.

For the Madhesi community: Certification from a designated institution as per the Nepal Gazette or, if not available, verification by the Chief District Officer based on the local authority's recommendation.

For the Dalit community: Documentation of the listed caste as per the National Dalit Commission, and for multiple surnames within the caste, verification from the local authority and the Chief District Officer.

For persons with disabilities: a disability ID card issued by the Social Welfare Council or a classification letter from the local authority under Section 4(3) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2074.

For backward regions: Citizenship and proof of permanent residence from specified districts as per the Civil Service Act, 2049, and the Federal Parliament Secretariat Act, 2064, including a recommendation letter dated no later than 3 months before application submission.

For internal promotion: Recommendation letter from relevant department/school head verifying minimum 4 years (officer) or 3 years (assistant) of permanent service.

Professor:

Minimum five years of experience as an Associate Professor.

At least five articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals, with at least four as lead authors during tenure as associate professors.

Demonstrated academic and professional leadership in the role.

Recognized as a skilled clinician, senior scientist, respected teacher, or capable researcher contributing significantly to the institution or professional field.
Associate Professor:
-
Minimum four years of experience as Assistant Professor.
-
At least four articles in peer-reviewed journals, with at least three as lead author.

Strong teaching and leadership evaluation during tenure as Assistant Professor.
-
Recognized for significant professional contribution as a clinician, scientist, teacher, or researcher.
Assistant Professor:

Minimum two years of experience in the relevant field.

At least two peer-reviewed publications with one as lead author.
Lecturer:
-
Minimum four years of service in a post one level below or equivalent to officer level in the same service/group/sub-group.
