Padhna ko Lagi Kotha Vacancy for Social Mobilizer:

Padhna ko Lagi Kotha (Sole Implementing Partner of Room to Read Nepal) is a national non-governmental organization. The organization aims to develop reading habits and reading skills in primary school children, as well as to provide education up to the secondary level and to enable them to make important life decisions through life skills.

Applications are invited from interested Nepali citizens for the following posts under Room to Read Nepal Funded Project from this organization.

Program: Girls' Education Program

Position: Social Mobilizer, Women

Required Number of posts: 1

Location: Tanahun

The Social Operator (Girls' Education Program) will establish continuous relationships with the school, parents, and the community to update the progress records of the participating girls, provide them with life skills and mentor the girls to complete their studies. In addition, the social worker will have to submit a monthly progress report to the Program Assistant' of the girls' education program.

Key Selection:

• Bachelor's degree in education and social sciences
• Candidates with experience in the related field and work experience in the field of gender will be accepted
• At least one year of experience working at the community level and related field
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in school teaching and learning
• Oral and written language skills in Nepali and local languages
• Ability to speak and write English fluently and prepare reports
• Good understanding of the local environment and secondary education system
• Interest and attachment to work in the field of girls' education
• To blend in with any community and environment, to work and speak easily

Facilitation skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge and skills related to positive perception and community mobilization
• Able to conduct training for girls
