OPMCM Calls Applications for the Position of Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board
Government of Nepal, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) Notice Inviting Applications for the Position of Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board
In accordance with Sub-section (5) of Section 12 of the Public-Private Partnership and Investment Act, 2075, applications are invited from interested Nepali citizens with the following qualifications and experience for recommendation to the Government of Nepal for appointment to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Board, as per the procedure outlined in Schedule 1 of the Procedure for Recommendation for Appointment of the CEO of the Investment Board, 2081.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Nepali citizen.
- Educational Qualification and Experience: Must have completed at least a Master's degree in Economics, Management, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or Development-related subjects from a recognized educational institution, and have at least ten years of managerial experience in project development, public procurement, public-private partnerships, investment promotion, development administration, banking, financial sector, or industrial management.
- Age: Must have completed 35 years of age and not exceeded 65 years as of the last date for application submission.
- Must not hold a permanent residency permit of a foreign country, and must not be disqualified under Sub-section (4) of Section 12 of the Act and other prevailing laws. A self-declaration as per Schedule 2 of the Procedure for Recommendation for Appointment of the CEO of the Investment Board, 2081, must be submitted.
Required Documents:
- Certified copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
- Personal details (Bio Data) including qualifications, experience, and contact address.
- Certified copy of educational certificates (If the educational degree is obtained from a foreign institution, an equivalence certificate must be submitted).
- Certified copy of documents proving experience.
- A strategy and action plan prepared in Nepali language with a maximum of 5,000 words covering the following topics:
- Analysis of the current investment situation and possibilities in Nepal, including the current state of performance.
- SWOT analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of the Investment Board.
- Future strategic plan.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
Deadline for Application Submission: Applications must be submitted within fifteen days from the date of publication of this notice (if the last day falls on a holiday, the next working day will be considered as the deadline) during office hours.
Application Submission Location: Secretariat of the Recommendation Committee, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Social and Physical Infrastructure Development Division, Singha Durbar.
Evaluation Criteria and Selection Procedure: The criteria for evaluation and selection procedures of candidates by the Recommendation Committee can be obtained from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' website www.opmcm.gov.np or the Investment Board's website https://ibn.gov.np/.
