Nepal Telecom (NTC) Announces Job Vacancy 2081

Nepal Telecom Company Limited (Nepal Telecom - NTC), Central Office, Recruitment Committee Notice Regarding Call for Applications for Open and Inclusive Competitive Examination.

As per the approval received from the Public Service Commission, to permanently fill the following vacant positions in this company through open and inclusive competition, as per the Employee Regulations of Nepal Telecom Company Limited, 2078 (including amendments), applications are invited online from interested Nepali citizens who meet the following qualifications, are not disqualified as per Regulation 17, and have not been previously penalized by the Public Service Commission for irregularities in examinations, preventing them from participating in any examinations conducted by the Commission for a specified period.

Applicants must upload copies of their Nepali citizenship certificate, recent passport-size photograph, specimen signature, certificates of minimum educational qualification achieved, training certificates, experience certificates, council registration certificate (only for positions requiring it), inclusion certificate, and equivalency determination letters in the designated locations of the online form and submit applications through the Online System via the company's website www.ntc.net.np or recruit.ntc.net.np.

Applications that are incomplete, submitted after the deadline, or submitted without the required documents will not be processed. The applicant themselves will be responsible for the details filled in and uploaded in the Online System if they are not as specified or are found to be false. The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

Job Vacancy Details:

Special Notice Regarding Advertisement: As per the mandamus order issued by the Honorable Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 in Writ No. 078-WO-660 and related petitions concerning certiorari, positions will be filled according to legal provisions once they are in place.

A. Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. Deputy Manager (Telecom): Master's degree passed in the subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience. The subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group means "Telecommunications and Communication or Radio or Electrical and Communications or Electrical and Electronics or Information Technology, Computer Software or Computer Hardware Engineering or Electronics Engineering (any one subject among Communication, Electronics, Computer, Radio) or Computer Science, Information Communication or Electrical Engineering or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent subject."

2. Deputy Manager (Administration): Master's degree passed in the subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience.

3. Deputy Manager (Accounts): Master's degree passed in Management, Commerce, or Business Administration, which are the subjects specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience.

4. Senior Engineer (Telecom): Master's degree passed in the subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience. 5. Senior Engineer (Civil): Master's degree passed in the subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience.

6. Senior Accounts Officer (CA): Passed the Chartered Accountancy or Certified Public Accountancy examination from a recognized institution (Institute) and registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal as per prevailing Nepal law.

7. Senior Accounts Officer: Master's degree passed in the subject specified for entry-level officer position of the relevant service group of this company from a recognized educational institution, and at least five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Nepal Government Civil Service/Government Service or University or Teaching Service or Organized Institution. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree may have two years less of experience.

8. Telecom Engineer (Electronics & Communication): Bachelor's degree obtained in Telecommunications and Communication or Radio or Electrical and Communications or Electrical and Electronics or Information Technology, Computer Software or Computer Hardware Engineering or Electronics Engineering (in any one subject among Communication, Electronics, Computer, Radio) from a recognized educational institution and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law.

9. Telecom Engineer (Computer): Bachelor's degree obtained in any one of the following subjects from a recognized educational institution: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Communication, Computer Software, Computer Hardware or Computer Engineering or equivalent subjects, and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law.

10. Telecom Engineer (Electrical): Bachelor's degree obtained in any one of the following subjects from a recognized educational institution: Electrical, Electronics and Electrical or Electrical and Communications or Electrical Engineering or equivalent subjects, and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law.

11. Engineer (Civil): Bachelor's degree obtained in Civil Engineering from a recognized educational institution and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law.

12. Engineer (Architect): Bachelor's degree obtained in Architecture Engineering from a recognized educational institution and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council as per prevailing law.

13. Assistant Administrative Officer: Bachelor's degree or equivalent passed in any subject from a recognized educational institution.

14. Assistant Business Officer: Bachelor's level passed in Management, Commerce, or Business Administration, or Bachelor's level or equivalent examination passed with Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics as one of the major subjects from a recognized educational institution.

15. Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor's level or equivalent examination passed in Management, Commerce, or Business Administration from a recognized educational institution.

16. Overseer: Certificate level or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent examination passed in Civil Engineering or Architecture or Survey Engineering from a recognized educational institution.

17. Assistant: SEE with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or SLC or equivalent passed from a recognized educational institution.

18. Telecom Technician: SLC or equivalent passed from a recognized educational institution and received training in Transmission, Outside, Power, Switching, or Telecom Technician from the Telecommunications Training Center of Nepal Telecom Company Limited, or passed Skill Test Level 2 in Transmission, Outside, Power, Switching subjects from the National Skill Testing Board.

19. Junior Technician: Class 10 passed from a recognized educational institution and received training in Transmission, Outside, Power, Switching, or Junior Technician from the Telecommunications Training Center of Nepal Telecom Company Limited, or passed Skill Test Level 1 in Transmission, Outside, Power, Switching subjects from the National Skill Testing Board.

B. Age Limit:

By the last date of application submission, applicants for assistant level positions must be between 18 and 35 years of age, applicants for officer level positions from level 6 to level 7 must be between 21 and 35 years of age, and applicants for officer level positions of level 8 and level 9 must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Additionally, for all positions, the upper age limit for women and candidates with disabilities is 40 years. For this purpose, age will be calculated based on the last date for submitting applications (21 days from the date of publication of this notice). The period for applying with double fee will not be considered for age calculation. The age limit will not apply to permanent employees currently serving in Nepal Telecom Company.

C. Type of Examination: Written, Interview (Practical examination will also be conducted for technical service level 4 and level 3 positions).

D. Examination Fee Payment Procedure:

After submitting the Online application form, payment can be made by selecting any one of the online payment service providers specified by the company in the Payment Option, or applicants wishing to pay through the company's revenue counters can pay the prescribed examination fee/double fee by the day after the last date for submitting applications at the latest, along with the Token No. mentioned on the Slip. Details of online payment service providers will be published on the company's website.

E. Last Date for Application Submission: 2081/11/29, and with double fee until 2081/12/07.

F. Date, Time, and Center of Written Examination:

The date, time, and examination center for the written examination of the above advertisements will be as determined by the Public Service Commission.

G. Examination Fee: As detailed below:

Additional fee for each inclusive group: Rs. 200 for officer level and Rs. 100 for assistant level.

Note: If applying only to inclusive groups without applying to the open category, the examination fee equivalent to the open category will be charged for the first group. Additional fees as mentioned above will be charged for further inclusive groups.

Educational qualifications, inclusion certificates, council registration certificates, training certificates, experience certificates, and service period obtained after the last date of application submission (regular fee deadline) will not be valid. Candidates who have studied at foreign institutions must compulsorily attach an equivalency certificate determined by the relevant body.

H. Additional Documents to be Prepared by Candidates When Applying to Inclusive Groups:

Candidates wishing to apply to advertisements under inclusive groups must prepare the following documents at the time of application. Applications may be cancelled at any time if the mentioned documents are not available.

1. In the case of Indigenous/Tribal Nationalities: In the case of castes listed in the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, based on the list of that Act, but if there are more than one surnames within a caste listed in the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, a document certified by the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, stating that the surname belongs to the listed caste.

2. In the case of Dalits: In the case of castes listed by the National Dalit Commission, based on the same list, but if there are more than one surnames within a caste listed by the National Dalit Commission, a document certified by the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, stating that the surname belongs to the listed caste.

3. In the case of Persons with Disabilities: Identity card certified for disability from the Social Welfare Council on the recommendation of an approved physician.

4. In the case of Madhesi: Document certified as Madhesi by the institution specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette, but until an institution is specified by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette, a document certified as Madhesi by the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level.

5. In the case of Backward Areas: Citizenship certificate mentioning permanent residence in Bajhang, Bajura, Achham, Humla, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Dolpa, and Jajarkot districts, and a document certified by the concerned Village Municipality or Municipality confirming current permanent residence in the same place, within 3 months prior to the last date for registration of the application form.
