Application Form (Revenue/Fee):
1. Inspector of Police:
- Online Application Fee: Rs. 1,200/-.
- Additional Fee for Mixed Group Applicants: An extra 20% (i.e., Rs. 240/-) for each group.
2. Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI):
- Application Fee: Rs. 500/-.
- Additional Fee for Multiple Group Applicants: An added 20% (i.e., Rs. 100/-) for each group.
Age Limit Criteria:
1. For Inspector of Police:
- General Age Limit: Between 20 to 25 years as of the last application date.
- For Gazetted Police Personnel in Open Competition:
- Maximum age of 35.
- Must have completed basic police officer training.
- Technical Police Personnel:
- As per Technical Police Regulations, 2058 and Police Regulations 2071 (with amendments), those appointed to the Technical Police Group or the District Police Group must have entered service within the prescribed age limit.
- Open Competition Eligibility: If candidates have fulfilled the age requirement for the Assistant Inspector post, they can partake in the open competition for the position of Police Inspector.
- For non-inservice rank police personnel, the age should not surpass 25 years as stated in Rule 40 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments).
2. For ASI:
- General Age Limit: Between 18 to 24 years as of the last application date.
- For Non-Gazetted Police Personnel in Open Competition:
- Maximum age of 35.
- Police constables should have completed basic training.
- As per the Police Act, 2071, in-service non-category personnel should not be older than 25 years.
Inspector of Police: Minimum Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Must have passed Graduation/Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

Criminal Record: Candidates must not have been convicted of any criminal charges that show moral turpitude.

Human Rights Record: Should not have been punished for violating human rights and humanitarian laws.

Political Affiliation: Must not be a member of any political party.

Terrorist Organization Affiliation: Should not be a member of any terrorist organization.

Physical Requirements:
- Male: Minimum height reduced, chest measurement between 21-22 inches, and a weight of at least 50 kg.
- Female: Minimum height of 5 feet and a weight of at least 42 kg.

Eye Vision: Eyesight should not be weaker than minus or plus 2.

Health Certificate: Candidates should obtain a health certificate from a doctor approved by the police head office (This will be checked during the examination process).

Nationality: Must be a Nepalese citizen.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI): Minimum Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Must have passed certificate level (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized university or educational institution.

Other Qualifications: Candidates must fulfill the criteria listed from serial number (2) to (9) under the Police Inspector requirements.
Documents for Police Inspector Post:
Online applications through ORMS should include digital copies of the required documents.
- Nepalese Citizenship: Digital copy of the certificate.
- Photographs: Recent full-length passport-size photo (5 copies). For males, ears, beard, and haircut should be visible.
- Educational Qualification: Digital copies of certificates, mark sheets, and in cases of foreign studies, an equivalency certificate from the Higher Secondary Education Council/Tribhuvan University.
- Family of Immortal/Disabled Policemen: Documents proving disability and relationship (2 copies).
- Indigenous Tribes: As per the NFDIN Act, certificates verifying the caste and surname.
- Madheshi Category: Certification as per the Nepal Gazette or as verified by the Chief District Officer.
- Dalits: Certificates aligning with the National Dalit Commission's list.
- Backward Areas Residents: Proof of permanent residence and a recommendation from the rural municipality or municipality. If citizenship is from another district, provide an explanatory letter from the issuing district administration.
- Document Format: For the ORMS system, upload documents in PDF format. Photos with thumbprints (right and left) and both sides of the citizenship certificate should be in JPG format.
Documents for ASI Post:
Include required documents in Gautik copy with the application.
- Nepalese Citizenship: Physical copy of the certificate.
- Photographs: Recent full-length passport size photo (5 copies). For males, ears, beard, and haircut should be visible.
- Educational Qualification: Copies of certificates, mark sheets, and if applicable, an equivalency certificate.
- Family, Tribes, Madheshi, Dalits, and Backward Areas: Similar documents as required for the Inspector post.
- Document Verification: On the back of each document copy, candidates must sign, confirming its authenticity.
