Nepal Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, Jangi Adda, Call for Applications: Officer and Non-Officer Positions in Technical, Aviation, and Miscellaneous Services

Applications are invited to fill vacant officer and non-officer positions under Technical, Aviation, and Miscellaneous Services of the Nepal Army through open and inclusive competitive recruitment. Eligible Nepali citizens are required to fill out the online application form available on the official website of the Nepal Army (www.nepalarmy.mil.np) or the Recruitment Selection Directorate’s portal (http://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np), print the completed form, and personally submit it at the designated recruitment center with a ticket of Rs. 10 (ten rupees).

• “Pra.” refers to Technical

• “Su.” refers to Subedar

• “Jam.” refers to Jamdar

• “Am.” refers to Amaldar

• “Sai. U.” refers to Medical Attendant

3. Application Submission Date and Location:

(a) Submission Period:

• From 2081/12/29 to 2082/01/27

• With double fee: From 2082/01/28 to 2082/02/03 (7 additional days)

(b) If the final date for submission (with regular or double fee) falls on a public holiday, the application form filled online can be submitted with the applicable fee (revenue) on the next working day.

(c) Submission Location:

4. Application Fee:

Applicants must deposit the application fee according to their post in the account number 00101000000001001001 at Nepal Bank Limited (Office Code: 345013513, Revenue Title No.: 14224) and submit both the original and a photocopy of the voucher along with the printed application form.

If an applicant applies under more than one group in the same advertisement, an additional 20% fee will be charged for each extra group.

• Applicants must pass a BMI and health check.

• Must not have been convicted in any criminal offense or moral misconduct.

• Must not be affiliated with any political party at the time of application.

• Must not be associated with any destructive or anti-national group or institution.

• Must not have been convicted for espionage, human rights violations, or humanitarian law offenses.

• Must not have been dismissed from any government service in a manner disqualifying them from future employment.

• Other requirements must align with:

  • Military Miscellaneous Service Regulations, 2074

6. Age Limit

• As of the final application date 2082/01/27, applicants must be:

  • At least 18 years old, and

  • Not older than 25 years
    (i.e., birth date must fall between 2057/01/27 and 2064/01/27)

7. Existing Military Personnel Applicants

(a)

• Maximum age limit: 35 years (born on or after 2047/01/27)

• May apply up to 3 times if meeting all qualifications

• Must have completed basic military training and submit a unit command recommendation letter

• Must have completed at least 1 year of service as of 2082/01/27

8. Required Documents

Applicants must self-attest and submit one copy of each of the following documents, neatly placed in a Nepali file folder. Overwritten or altered documents will not be accepted. Originals must be presented during form submission.

(a) Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate

(b) Academic Certificates, Character Certificates, Mark Sheets (Original or Provisional for all levels)

(c) Equivalency Certificate from Curriculum Development Centre or Tribhuvan University (for qualifications obtained from foreign boards/universities)

(d) For certificates issued before the Letter Grading Directive, 2078:

• Minimum GPA 2 or CGPA 1.6, no subject below D+
  For SEE certificates issued under the new directive:

• Minimum GPA 2 required and must hold the original
  For Grade 12:

• Minimum GPA 1.6 and must hold the original

(e) If a candidate has a higher qualification in the same field than mentioned in the advertisement, it will be considered sufficient

(f) For applicants who are dependents of deceased or disabled military personnel:

(1) Name must be listed in the "Support Needed" list published by the Ceremony Directorate or mentioned in pension documents as deceased or disabled (1 copy)

(2) For active personnel: Copy of Medical Board Recommendation as per Military Service Regulations, 2069 (Article 107)

(3) Copy of relationship verification certificate (1 copy)

9. Photographs Required

• Four (4) recent passport-size photos showing full face and both ears (for males: clean-shaven and short hair)

• One (1) photo sized 2x2 inches

11. Selection Process

Selection will include:

• Bearing test

• BMI and preliminary health check

• Physical test

• Written examination (conducted by Public Service Commission)

• Practical examination

• Detailed medical examination

• Interview

Failure in any one stage will disqualify the candidate from the next stage.

12. Salary, Allowances, Ration, and Other Benefits

As per the prevailing rules and arrangements of the Nepal Army.

13. Other Conditions

(a) Candidates currently employed in government or semi-government institutions must submit departmental approval at the time of application.

(b) Candidates are personally responsible for their safety during the selection exams. The Nepal Army will not be liable for any incidents that occur during the examination process.

(c) Candidates must bring their admit card and original citizenship certificate to every stage of the examination.

(d) Candidates wishing to compete under the inclusive category may apply under only one group among Indigenous/Janajati, Madhesi, or Dalit communities. This restriction does not apply to women. Candidates (male/female) from backward areas may also apply under the backward area quota.

(e) Candidates who have already applied for another post in the ongoing Nepal Army recruitment process must declare this. While filling out the online form, such candidates must mention the post and advertisement number they previously applied for.

(f) All original documents and details submitted by the candidate must be presented during form submission and in the interview. If any information is found to be false, legal action will be taken according to the law.

14. Information Regarding Online Application Form Submission

(a) Go to the official website of the Nepal Army: www.nepalarmy.mil.np, click on "JOIN NEPALI ARMY", or directly access http://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np and click on "Apply Online".

(b) While filling out the form, applicants must enter their citizenship details, personal details, academic qualifications, and family information in Nepali Unicode. They must also upload a scanned/digital copy of their photo, citizenship certificate, academic certificates, and revenue payment voucher.

(c) Applicants must first enter minimum eligibility details (age, academic qualifications, and citizenship). Only if those entries are valid will the remaining form be accessible. Once all details and documents are entered/uploaded, upload the scanned revenue voucher and click Submit Application. Then, download and print the completed application form, admit card, and revenue voucher in PDF format.

(d) Paste a photo and attach a postage stamp to the printed application form. Sign the form and submit it in person at Nepal Army Central Recruitment Selection Centre, Sano Bharyang, Swayambhu within the specified deadline.

(e) If a candidate only submits the application online and does not physically submit the printed form, their application will not be considered valid.

15. Special Notice

As per the mandamus order issued by the Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 concerning writ petition no. 078-WO-0382, where the Nepal Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, and Work Division, Jangi Adda, Kathmandu are also defendants:

This notice has been published for current recruitment based on existing laws. Once the necessary legal arrangements for inclusive quotas are finalized, the ratio of positions reserved for inclusive categories will include the previously unannounced posts from fiscal year 2079/80 that were lost in practice.
