1. Application Details

Application Process for Soldier Positions:

Application Process for Trades Followers Positions:

Eligibility, Requirements, and Application Process

3. Application Submission Details

(a) Submission Dates:

• Regular Submission: From 2081/07/30 to 2081/08/29.

• Late Submission: From 2081/08/30 to 2081/09/06 (with double fee).

(b) Public Holiday Clause:

• Soldier Positions: Rs. 150/-

5. Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualifications

1. For Soldiers:

   • Minimum Grade 8 passed with a GPA of 2.0 or above (no grade below D+).

   • For SEE/Secondary level qualifications, a GPA of 2.0 or higher is mandatory.

   • Candidates with higher academic qualifications must provide copies of all certificates, including SEE and above.

2. For Trades Followers:

   • Basic literacy (ability to read and write) is mandatory.

B. Physical Requirements

1. For Soldiers:

   • Male Candidates:

     • Height: Minimum 5 feet 3 inches.

     • Chest: Minimum 32 inches (unexpanded) and 34 inches (expanded).

     • Weight: Minimum 50 kg (110 lbs).

   • Female Candidates:

     • Height: Minimum 5 feet.

     • Weight: Minimum 40 kg (88 lbs).

2. For Trades Followers:

   • Male Candidates:

     • Height: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches.

     • Chest: Minimum 30 inches (unexpanded) and 32 inches (expanded).

     • Weight: Minimum 50 kg (110 lbs).

   • Female Candidates:

     • Height: Minimum 4 feet 10 inches.

     • Weight: Minimum 40 kg (88 lbs).

3. Vision Requirement:

   • Candidates must have 6/6 vision or not exceed +2.0 correction.

C. Other Qualifications

• Applicants must be declared fit in a health examination by an authorized Nepal Army officer.

• Must not have a criminal record or history of unethical conduct.

• Must not be affiliated with any political party or subversive organizations.

• Must meet additional requirements as outlined in the Sainik Seva Niyamawali, 2069.

6. Age Limits

6. Age Limit

• Soldiers: Must be between 18 to 22 years by 2081/08/29. For current serving Nepal Army personnel, the upper limit is 26 years.

• Trades Followers: Must be between 18 to 26 years.

7. For Current Nepal Army Personnel

(a) Must have completed at least 1 year of service by 2081/08/29.
(b) Must submit a recommendation letter from their commanding officer.

8. Required Documents

Candidates must include the following documents in certified copies (self-attested), submitted in a file folder. Originals must be presented during the application process.

1. Nepalese Citizenship Certificate.

2. Academic Certificates:

   • Transcript, Character Certificate, and Original/Provisional Certificates of all educational levels.

   • For certificates from foreign institutions, equivalency from Tribhuvan University must be provided.

(b) Candidates under the inclusive quota may compete under one category only (e.g., indigenous, Dalit, or Madhesi). However, women can compete in multiple quotas.
