MoALD Agriculture Sector Development Programme (ASDP) Vacancy Announcement:

Kantipur Management Private Limited (KMPL) announces the vacancy for Agriculture Sector Development Programme. ASDP is an undertaking of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD) with the major financial support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The Programme is in implementation through the fiscal year 2018/19.

The duration of the Programme is six years. The overall goal of the Programme is to contribute to the achievement of Nepal's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 1 —No Poverty and SDG 2- Zero Hunger) targets by reducing poverty and nutrition insecurity amongst women and men in hill and mountain areas of the Karnali Province.

The purpose of the Programme is to contribute to the achievement of Nepal's SDG 8- Decent Work and Economic Growth target through sustainable improvement in the income and food security of smallholders and disadvantaged people (Dalit, Janajati, Muslim, Youth, Landless and other disadvantaged groups) involved in market-oriented production and marketing systems in selected agricultural value chains.

KMPL hereby invites applications from potential and qualified Nepalese citizens for the following job positions as per the following minimum requirements of qualification and experiences:

Government of Nepal Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Agriculture Sector Development Programme (ASDP)

1. Senior Value Chain Expert

Required Number: 1 (one)

Academic Qualifications and Work experiences: PhD or Masters' Degree in Agricultural Economics, or Agricultural Marketing, or Business Administration, or Agribusiness Development, or Economics, or Marketing or Equivalent with at least 12 years of experience in agribusiness promotion, Value Chain Development and private sector strengthening with demonstrable evidence of the results achieved.

2. Senior Agriculture Extension & Institutional Development Expert

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: PhD or master's degree in agriculture Extension or agriculture Science with more than 12 years of professional working experience in agriculture extension service delivery having engaged with the public and multi-sectoral institution.

3. Gender and Social Inclusion Expert

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Master's Degree in Gender Studies, or Sociology, or Social Work, or Population Studies or Rural Development or equivalent with experience in gender and development with at least 5 years of professional work experience in planning, programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender and empowerment programmes.

4. Nutrition Expert

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters' degree in Public Health, or Development Studies, or Sociology, or Rural Development or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in development project/programme preferably on health and nutrition or community development.

5. Infrastructure Officer

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters' degree in Civil Engineering with at least one year of professional experience in designing, construction supervision and monitoring of civil engineering works in particular market-led infrastructures and rural roads; or Bachelors' degree in the above-mentioned subject with at least three years of experience in above-mentioned fields.

6. Procurement Officer

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters' degree in engineering, procurement management, law or financial management with more than 3 years of professional experience or bachelors degree with more than 5 years of professional experience in procurement of goods, works and services with development project/programme.

7. Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management Officer (M & E and KM Officer)

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters' degree in development and/or management studies or equivalent with at least 3 years of proven experience with planning, design and implementation of M&E systems and logical framework / other strategic planning approaches.

8. Gender, Social inclusion and Nutrition Officer

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters'degree in gender study, or sociology, or rural development, or public health or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in social health development programme preferably on health and nutrition.

9. Civil Engineer

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of professional experience in designing, construction supervision & monitoring of civil engineering works in particular market-led infrastructures and rural roads; or Master's degree in the above-mentioned subject with at least one year of experience in above-mentioned fields.

10. Field Agriculture Officer

Required Number: 16 (Agriculture -12 + Livestock-4)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Masters' Degree in agriculture/ veterinary science/ animal husbandry or equivalent with at least 3 years of professional experience or bachelors degree in agriculture/veterinary science/animal husbandry or equivalent with at least 5 years of professional experience in agriculture value chain development or delivery of agriculture extension services working with public and private service providers.

11. Sub Engineer [Overseer)   

Required Number: 2 (Two)

Academic Qualifications and Work Experiences: Certificate Level in civil engineering / civil works with 5 years of proven experience in the field of infrastructure-related works.
