Province Public Service Commission, Madhesh Province (Madhesh Pradesh Lok Sewa Aayog), Janakpurdham, Open, Inclusive, and Inter-Service Competitive Written Examination Notice for the Post of Legal Officer, Officer Level 7 under Provincial Civil Service.

As it is required to fill the vacant posts of Legal Officers, Officer Level 7, under the Legal Service and Legal Group in the Provincial Civil Service through open, inclusive, and inter-service competitive examinations, applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates as per the details below. Candidates who meet the prescribed minimum qualifications must apply through the Commission’s online application system at ppsonline.p2.gov.np.

Age Limit (as of 2081/12/20):

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

  • Maximum Age:

    • Male: Not exceeding 35 years

    • Female: Not exceeding 40 years

  • Note: The age limit does not apply to permanent civil service employees.

      • Click "Click here" to download and print the voucher

      • Visit the selected bank with the printed voucher to make payment

Responsible Ministry:

  • The ministry is responsible for service, group, and sub-group operations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Must not be disqualified under Section 16 of the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2077.

  • For Legal Service – Legal Group:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized educational institution.

For Inter-Service Positions:

As per Section 9(17) of the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2077:

  • Candidates from federal or local civil service must have completed at least 7 years of service in a post one level below the position to be filled.

  • The candidate must meet the required educational qualification for the post.

Special Instructions Regarding Documents and Experience:

  • Candidates must prepare and submit all required documents at the time of application.

  • Shortlisted candidates for interviews must bring original documents and self-attested copies.

  • Failure to provide the required documents during application may result in rejection.

Inclusive Group-Specific Documents Required:

  • Madhesi Category:

    • Certificate issued by an institution designated by Provincial Gazette Notification

    • If such an institution is not yet designated, a recommendation from the local level head verified by the Chief District Officer

  • Dalit Category:

    • As per the list by the National Dalit Commission

    • If multiple castes exist within a listed group, recommendation from the local head and verification by CDO are required

  • Muslim Category:

    • As per the list by the National Muslim Commission

    • If multiple castes exist, CDO certification based on local recommendation is required

  • Indigenous/Janajati Category:

    • As per the list in the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act

    • If multiple castes exist, recommendation and CDO verification are required

Important Notes:

  • Reservation Rule: As per Section 9(11) of the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2077, a person can only use the reservation facility once during their service period.

  • Experience Validity:

    • Experience must be fulfilled before the final application deadline.

    • Double fee deadline will not be considered for age, qualification, experience, or eligibility purposes.

  • Incomplete Applications:

    • Applications lacking required qualifications, documents, or fees within the deadline will not be accepted.

  • Requesting Assistant Writer:

    • Candidates needing an assistant writer must inform Madhesh PSC at least 7 days before the exam.

  • Required Documents Before Interview:

    • Originals and self-attested copies of academic certificates, citizenship, experience certificates, and inclusive group documents are mandatory.

  • Educational Qualification Deadline:

    • It must be attained before the application deadline.

  • Foreign Degrees:

    • Must be equivalently certified by the relevant authority.

  • Exam Instructions:

    • Only black ink is allowed during the written exam. Use of other inks will lead to disqualification.
