Employee Provident Fund (EPF – Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh), Pulchowk, Lalitpur Vacancy Announcement.

Since the vacant positions at the Employee Provident Fund are to be permanently filled by open competition in agreement with the Public Service Commission, eligible Nepali citizens are invited to apply from date 2081-12-08 onwards. Applicants who meet the prescribed qualifications must complete the process as specified in this notice and submit their applications through the Fund’s online application system at https://vacancy.epf.org.np.

In case false details are provided in the online form, the responsible candidate will be held solely accountable. Applications not submitted within the deadline or not complete will not be processed.

(a) Details of Positions to Be Filled by Open Competition

  • Section Officer (Prabandhak), Administration, 8th Level - 1 (Open)

  • Under-Section Officer (Upa Prabandhak), Administration, 7th Level - 1 (Dalit)

  • Under-Section Officer (Chartered Accountant), Administration,- 7th Level - 3 (Open-1, Madheshi-1, Dalit-1)

  • Assistant Officer (Sahayak Prabandhak), Administration,, 6th Level - 8 (Open-4, Women-1, Madheshi-1, Dalit-1, Apanga-1)

  • Assistant Officer – Legal (Sahayak Prabandhak - Law), Administration/Law, 6th Level - 1 (Open)

  • Assistant Officer – System (Sahayak Prabandhak - System), Technical/IT, 6th Level - 2 (Open-1, Adivasi Janajati-1)

  • Senior Assistant (Pramukh Sahayak), Administration, 5th Level - 22 (Open-12, Women-3, Adivasi Janajati-3, Madheshi-2, Dalit-1 and Pichhadiyako Kshetra-1)

(b) Legal Provision

In accordance with the petition regarding remittance under Ret. No. 078-WO-0660 from the Honorable Supreme Court and the order dated 2079/10/24, the posts will be filled following the legal arrangement.

(c) Type of Examination

  • For the Chief Assistant position: Written test, computer skills test, and interview.

  • For all other positions: Written test and interview.

(d) Minimum Required Educational Qualifications

Grade 8, Manager:

A postgraduate degree in Management from a recognized institution or a postgraduate degree in Economics under the Faculty of Humanities (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an authorized position in a government service or an institution established under prevailing law.

Grade 7, Assistant Manager:

A postgraduate degree in Management from a recognized institution or a postgraduate degree in Economics under the Faculty of Humanities (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an authorized position in a government service or an institution established under prevailing law.

Grade 7, Assistant Manager (Chartered Accountant):

A recognized Chartered Accountancy qualification and a postgraduate degree in any subject along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an authorized position in a government service or an institution established under prevailing law.

Grade 6, Assistant Manager:

A postgraduate degree in Management from a recognized institution or a postgraduate degree in Economics under the Faculty of Humanities (or equivalent).

Grade 6, Assistant Manager (Law):

A postgraduate degree in Law from a recognized institution (or equivalent).

Grade 6, Assistant Manager (System):

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering from a recognized institution (or equivalent).

Grade 5, Chief Assistant:

A bachelor’s degree in management from a recognized institution or a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Faculty of Humanities (or equivalent).

(e) Type of Service

The appointment will be permanent.

(f) Retirement Benefits

Retirement benefits will be provided based on contributions as per the Employee Provident Fund and the Employee Service Terms and Conditions, 2078.

(g) Age Limit

1. For Grade 5 positions:

The applicant must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 25 years as of the final application date. For female and disabled candidates, the upper limit is 40 years.

2. For Grade 6 positions:

The applicant must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 25 years as of the final application date. For female and disabled candidates, the upper limit is 40 years.

3. For Grade 7 or higher positions requiring work experience:

The applicant must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 45 years as of the final application date.

4. For permanent employees of the Fund, no age limit applies.

(h) Probation Period

As per Rule 32 of the Employee Provident Fund, Employee Service Terms and Conditions, 2078.

(i) Salary Scale and Other Benefits

Will be in accordance with the prevailing rules of the Fund.

(j) Examination Arrangement

Examinations for the open and inclusive competitions under each service will be held concurrently in one sitting.

(k) Application Form and Fee Process

Applicants must complete the application form online via the Employee Provident Fund’s website at www.epf.org.np under “Careers” or directly at https://vacancy.epf.org.np. After submitting the online form, the application fee must be paid using the received Application Number through Connect IPS, e-Sewa, or Khalti. (l) Submission of Documents

Candidates must upload one copy of the required educational qualification certificate that meets the minimum criteria. Serving employees must submit departmental approval from their organization.

(m) Application Fee Payment

The fee must be paid as specified within 21 days from the publication date through Connect IPS, e-Sewa, or Khalti. Applications received after 21 days, up to an additional 7 days, will incur double the fee. Fees for rejected application forms will not be refunded.

(n) Examination Dates

The dates for the written and oral tests will be announced later.

(o) Waiting List

A waiting list will be maintained as per Rule 27 of the Employee Provident Fund, Employee Service Terms and Conditions, 2078.

(p) Equivalence Certificate

Applicants who have obtained educational qualifications from outside Nepal must upload a scanned copy of an equivalence certificate issued by Tribhuvan University. Candidates are responsible for the authenticity of the submitted certificates.

(q) For Permanent Employees

For those already in permanent service at the Fund, the minimum educational qualification will be as per Rule 13 of the Employee Provident Fund, Employee Service Terms and Conditions, 2078.

(r) Work Location

The Assistant Manager (Chartered Accountant), Assistant Manager (Law), and Assistant Manager (System) positions will be based in the Kathmandu Valley office. Other positions will be located at branch offices and service centers outside the Kathmandu Valley.

(s) Application Acceptance

The Fund reserves the right to accept or reject online applications.

(t) Written Examination

The written test for the aforementioned positions will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

Special Instructions for Candidates Applying Under Inclusive Groups

Candidates wishing to apply for positions under the inclusive group must prepare the documents as outlined below and submit them with the application. If selected for an interview based on the written examination, candidates must bring the original documents along with a certified photocopy when attending. Failure to present valid documents at the time of application may result in cancellation of the application.

(a) For Indigenous Groups:

Candidates belonging to a caste listed under the Nepal Indigenous/Janajati Uthhan National Establishment Act must provide a document certifying the caste name based on the list. If multiple surnames exist within that caste, a document certified by the local level chief through the Chief District Officer stating the specific surname is required.

(b) For Madhesi Candidates:

A document certified by the designated institution as per the Nepal Gazette notification is required. If the institution is not designated, a document certified by the local level chief through the Chief District Officer is acceptable.

(c) For Dalit Candidates:

Candidates belonging to a caste listed by the National Dalit Commission must provide a document certifying the caste name based on the list. If multiple surnames exist within that caste, a document certified by the local level chief through the Chief District Officer stating the specific surname is required.

(d) For Disabled Candidates:

A disability identification card issued by the Social Welfare Council or a disability certificate issued by the local authority indicating the classification of disability as per Clause (3) of Section 4 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2074 is required.

(e) For Candidates from Underdeveloped Regions:

Candidates must provide a citizenship certificate from the relevant district indicating permanent residence in Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugum, and Humla. In addition, a document from the local authority certifying current permanent residence in the same area is required, based on a recommendation issued not more than three months prior to the application date. In cases of marriage, a marriage registration certificate is required, and for migration cases, a document from the local authority certifying migration details is required.
