Kalika Self-reliance Social Center (KSSC-Nepal), a non-profit making organization based in Kapilvastu district, Lumbini Province and Forum for Rural Welfare and Agricultural Reform for Development (FORWARD Nepal), whose head office in Chitwan are going to implement the "Civil Society Organisations as promoters of improved food systems and equal livelihood opportunities" project jointly in the selected rural municipalities of Kaplvastu district Mayadevi, Yeshodhara and Suddhodhan of Lumbini Province with the financial support from German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)/ Welthungerhilfe (WHH). The objective of the project is to contribute to the food and nutrition security of targeted households (SDG 2) with a special focus on nutritionally vulnerable groups (Infants, young children, pregnant / breastfeeding women, and adolescent girls).
The above project partners are looking for experienced and qualified candidates for the following positions. So, interested and eligible Nepalese citizens are requested to apply for the positions within 15 days of notice publication.

Brief job descriptions
1. Position: (Agriculture & Livelihood)
- Provide the necessary technical know-how and ensure the coordination and convergence of agriculture, livelihood nutrition, civil society strengthening and advocacy activities in the field.
- Provide technical support for project staff and supervise the field staff, work closely with technical experts of the government and ensure good cooperation with partner organization and other NGOs/CBOs in the project area.
- Support MEAL Manager/Officer for field data management and reporting.
Required qualification experience and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture and equivalent with experience of at least 3 years in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of agriculture technologies, nutrition and food security and hygiene advocacy
- Should have market & market system and business development.
- Knowledge and skills on Business planning.
- Knowledge on policies priorities of the government (Federal to local), needs and issues related to local economic development of Terai.
- Sound knowledge on supply chain management.
- Should have good coordination and communication skills to deal with project team and stakeholders.
- Training/workshop facilitation skills and organizing and mobilizing groups for collective results.
2. Position: (Nutrition and Hygiene Officer)
- Provide necessary technical know-how and ensure the coordination and convergence of nutrition, hygiene, agriculture, livelihood, civil society strengthening activities in the field.
- Provide technical support for project staff and supervise the field staff, work closely with technical experts of government and ensure good cooperation with partner organization and other NGOs/CBOs in the project area.
- Working together with FCHVs, Mother Groups and CBOs, in close coordination with the peripheral health facility, ward offices, municipalities and relevant stakeholders.
- Advocacy for the total sanitation and health system service delivery strengthen in project area.
Required qualification experience and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Social science, Rural development and equivalent with experience of at least 3 years in a relevant field.
- Apart from an academic degree, should have good knowledge of coordination and advocacy skills in the relevant field.
- Should have the ability to work in close coordination with the community, health institution and Palika members.
- Must have demonstrative in WASH and Nutrition activities implementation and Advocacy.
- Ability to Engage with the community for the supply of nutritious food and promote sustainability also practicing and promoting personal hygiene behavioral change and nutritious food habits.
3. Position: (Civil Society Mobilization & Advocacy Officer)
- Develop advocacy and communication strategy.
- Plan and create the communication campaigns, projects and deliverables, including executing communications strategy, writing/editing content, overseeing design and production.
- Plan and execute communications for awareness raising and advocacy.
- Carry out the policy advocacy campaign and influence to local level in best interest of food security and nutrition.
- Manage and monitor the team members and will be responsible for coordination at local/provincial level, monitoring Coordination at local/provincial level, monitoring at organizational level, provides technical inputs, support in capacity development and quality control of the project. Develop strong networking and collaboration with stakeholders of the project.
Required qualification experience and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Social science or an equivalent with experience of at least 3 years in a relevant field.
- Good knowledge of coordination and advocacy skills in the relevant field.
- Should have experience of lead in effective governance, ensure constitutional rights, Act policies compliance and are practiced well.
- Should have capacity to identify local advocacy issues and around national context.
- Have demonstrative & innovative idea of communication and materials development.
4. Position: Monitoring Documentation and Reporting Officer
This employee will be working at FORWARD Nepal but occupies a dual function for both partner NGOs: FORWARD Nepal and KSSC and is the interface between WHH and the two partner organisations. Responsible for MEAL activities and reporting of all field activities of both partners. Obligated for monitoring, data collection, documentation and reporting at the field level. Supports the programme officers in data analysis, report preparation and works closely with the officers, field team as well as MEAL manager and Programme manager at head office level of both partners. Create and maintain project documentation of exemplary results, good practices, success stories and reports.
Required qualification experience and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Social science or an equivalent with experience of at least 3 years in a relevant field.
- Should have good knowledge of MEAL, communication and reporting skills.
- Sound knowledge on monitoring tools and methods also have good analysis and presentation skills.
- Record and evaluation of the project beneficiaries towards the goal of the project.
- Experience in developing innovative ideas, tools, factsheets and periodic analysis of the project.
- Experience on documenting and reporting with supporting evidence.
- Ability to work in close coordination with the project team, community and Palika members.
5. Position: Admin and Finance Officer Require position
The Admin and Finance Officer (AFO) will be responsible for overall financial management of program activities and accountable to ensure transparency and efficient cost effective implementation. The position will be responsible to financial administration at the field level. Also have major responsibility to ensures professional accounting and, timely financial reporting and auditing of project accounts. Need to provide support to run the smooth operations of financial and administrative process of respective program. Provide logistic support for program & staff. The AFO should always have responsible and accountable to cost effective project implementation, maximum utilization of budget to target beneficiaries and activities plan of phase budget to project goal attainment with minimum resources.
Required qualification experience and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies and Administration, or an equivalent with experience of at least 3 years in a relevant field.
- Should have good amount of knowledge on prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Must be demonstrative to prepare vouchers and enter them in the books of accounts also prepare periodic Trail balance, bank reconciliation, income and expenditures, budget and expenses reports for each project.
- Be aware and comply with the local/province / Nepal government tax laws.
- Facilitate recruitment, procurement, staff movements and employee database maintenance.
- Good knowledge in computer and have a demonstrative skills of financial management.
Possession of a license for the motorbike/vehicle is desirable.
