Indreni Rural Development Centre (IRDC), a non-profit organization registered in Rupendehi district, Lumbini Province is going to implement the Essential Health Scale-up Project (EHSP) in partnership with FAIRMED Foundation Nepal in Rupendehi district.

The projects support will be focused on reducing complications and morbidity of the major NTDs (Leprosy, Filariasis, Dengue, Soil-Transmitted Helminthes, etc) prevalent in the project areas along with improvement in maternal and neonatal health status by technically backstopping the local government in strengthening the public health system and working with communities to generate demand for health service utilization. For the effective implementation of the project at the field level, the following vacancy is opened for the interested Nepalese citizens.

Position: Project Officer (No. 1): - 1(70% time in the field)

Working Areas: 11 Rural/ Municipalities of Rupendehi district

Key Responsibilities:

The project officer will be responsible for the overall management of project activities mainly planning and implementation of activities in the field. He/she will work closely with Health Office, Rupandehi, Municipalities and Health Facilities, FCHVs, Self Help Groups, and HFOMC. He/she will coach and guide Community Health Mobilisers. He/she will also be responsible for timely reporting and documentation of project activities.

Minimum Requirement:

He/she should have at least a bachelor's degree in public health with 3-5 years working experience in Health System Strengthening, Neglected Tropical Diseases, MNH, WASH, and Disability Inclusive Development as well as good knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office, SPSS, etc.) with ability to produce reports in English and Nepali. Must have a Motorbike license.

Salary and Benefits: Negotiable.
