ICAN Nepal Announces Vacancy for Various Positions 2081
As per the approval received from the Public Service Commission on 2081/11/08 (February 21, 2025), applications are invited from eligible interested Nepali citizens for permanent recruitment to the following vacant positions through competitive examination for open and inclusive positions following the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal, Employee Service Conditions Regulations, 2066 (including amendments).
Candidates with minimum qualifications must apply through the institute's online application system, career.ican.org.np. The Public Service Commission will conduct the written examination.

Special notice regarding advertisement:
As per the mandamus order issued by the Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 (February 7, 2023) in writ petition no. 078-WO-0660, positions will be filled according to legal provisions after they are established.

Documents to upload: Candidates must upload marksheets/transcripts of minimum educational qualifications and character certificates, citizenship certificate, and documents proving inclusive group membership for inclusive category applications. Candidates who have obtained educational qualifications from countries other than Nepal must submit equivalence certificates determined by the relevant authority. For positions requiring experience, appointment letters and experience certificates verified by the head of the office/institution must be uploaded. Professional Membership Certificates must be submitted for positions requiring them. Candidates are fully responsible for the information provided in their applications.

Application deadline: 2081/12/07 (March 20, 2025) and with double fee until 2081/12/14 (March 27, 2025).

Age limit for candidates: By 2081/12/07 (March 20, 2025), candidates for assistant level positions must be at least 18 years old and not more than 35 years old, and for officer level positions, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 35 years old. For women and candidates with disabilities, the age limit is up to 40 years. For Assistant Director and higher positions, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 45 years old by the application deadline. There is no age limit for permanent employees currently working at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal.

Job responsibilities and location: Work as assigned under the management of the institute. Appointed employees will be posted at the central office and branch offices outside the Kathmandu Valley according to the institute's needs.

Process for paying examination fee: After submitting the online application form, the examination fee must be paid through eSewa or Connect IPS. The application will not be considered valid if the specified amount is unpaid.

Fee payment period: After applying online, fees must be paid through one of the above methods by the day after the deadline for application with double fee.

Special instructions for candidates applying for inclusive group advertisements: Candidates wishing to apply for positions in inclusive groups must prepare the following documents at the time of application. After being selected for interview based on written examination results, candidates must bring the original documents and self-certified copies when coming for the interview.

Miscellaneous:
(a) For Indigenous/Ethnic groups: For ethnicities listed in the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, documentation based on that list. Suppose there are multiple surnames within a listed ethnicity. In that case, a document certified by the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the local government head confirming the surname is within the listed ethnicity.
(b) For Madhesi: Documentation certified as Madhesi by an institution designated by the Government of Nepal through notification in the Nepal Gazette. Until such an institution is designated, documentation is certified as Madhesi by the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the local government head.
(a) Candidates applying for Level 4 assistant positions must have obtained a GPA of 2 or higher in the SEE/SLC or equivalent examination after implementing the grading system.
(b) The required educational qualifications must be completed by the application deadline. Candidates who have studied at foreign institutions must have their qualifications determined as equivalent by the relevant authority.
(c) For candidates requiring experience, the minimum service period specified for the position must be completed by the application deadline.
(d) The double fee deadline period will not be counted for age, educational qualification, experience period, and other qualification purposes.
(e) Applications submitted after the deadline, without the minimum qualifications, specified details, or the required fee will not be accepted.
