Helvetas Nepal TTDP Project Vacancy for Various Positions

Trail-based Tourism Development Project (TTDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland with the main goal of "People in Koshi Province increase their income and contribute to conservation of culture with innovative and sustainable tourism offers". On behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the project. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from competent and committed Nepali Citizens for the following positions:

1. Trail Coordinator - 1

Job Purpose:

Responsible for overall management for the effective execution of the local level's project activities; Ensure quality of the social mobilization process and participatory approach for feasibility assessments, design, and implementation of engineering works at the local levels.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 5 years of experience in planning and design of local infrastructures. Trail Coordinator should be familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, proficient in the use of GIS and AutoCAD software. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

2. Technical Officer - 16

Job Purpose:

Responsible to carry out survey, design verification, and implementation at local level under the guidance and supervision of the Trail Coordinator; Collection of the socio-economic data of the community in close coordination with the social safeguard officer; Undertake the detailed design for the construction and/or rehabilitation of the selected infrastructure in consultation with the beneficiaries.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

• Diploma in civil engineering or TSLC from CTEVT for an assistant sub engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and design of small local infrastructures. Familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, use of GIS and AutoCAD software. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station for Both Positions: Trail site of Koshi Province

3. Procurement and Logistics Officer - 1

Job Purpose:

The position will assist the Administrative and Human Resource Manager for an effective procurement and logistics management of the project as per the organizational policy and manuals.

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a relevant subject. S/he should have at least 3 years of experience in procurement and logistics management. Experience in an I/NGO in a similar position will be valued added. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

4. Finance Assistant - 1 (Women Only)

Job Purpose:

The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies. This role is crucial in assisting the finance manager to achieve the organization’s objectives by ensuring efficient and transparent financial operations.

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:

• Minimum + 2 / Intermediate level in Management, Commerce with at least 3 years of experience in similar field. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a relevant subject will be an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

5. Administrative Assistant - 1 (Women Only)

Job Purpose:

This position will assist Administrative and Human Resources Manager in the project’s overall administrative functions.

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:

• Minimum + 2 / Intermediate Level in Management, Commerce or related subject with at least 3 years of experience in a similar field. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a relevant subject will be an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station for Above Three Positions: Project Support Unit (PSU), Biratnagar
