
HELVETAS NEPAL, TRAIL-BASED TOURISM Development Project, VACANCY RE-ANNOUNCEMENT

Trail-based Tourism Development Project (TTDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland with main goal of "People in Koshi Province increase their income and contribute to conservation of culture with innovative and sustainable tourism offers". On Behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the project. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from competent and committed Nepali Citizens for the following position:
Team Leader (TL) - 1
Job purpose: Responsible for providing strategic direction to the project team to accomplish project objectives and targets as stipulated in the project document and LogFrame.
Required Education and Experience: A Master’s degree in tourism or development studies or equivalent qualifications. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in managing participatory development projects and in establishing quality control and monitoring systems, out of which at least 10 years’ experience in leading a multidisciplinary team; experience as expert and/or team leader for externally financed projects; experience in working with participatory planning methods would be an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
Duty station: PSU Biratnagar
Duration: Initially three years with a possibility of extension.
Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulation of Helvetas Nepal.
