Government of Nepal and Government of Switzerland Vacancy Announcement:

Government of Nepal (GoN) and Government of Switzerland have been implementing Nepal Vocational Qualifications System Project (NVQS-P) since 2015. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is providing financial and technical assistance to the GoN (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT)/Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST)) for the implementation of the project.

Swisscontact Nepal has set up a technical assistance team-Project Support Unit (PSU) on behalf of SDC. Swisscontact is the business-oriented independent foundation for international development cooperation. Represented in 36 countries with over 1100 employees, it promotes - since 1959 -economic, social, and environmental development.

For the second phase of NVQS-P (subject to ratification of the bilateral agreement), Swisscontact invites applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions.

1. Position: DeputyTeam Leader (Management) -1

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master or higher degree in the relevant field (education, TVET, management, business studies)
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in the relevant field (development cooperation and/or designing and administering national and/or regional TVET programs) and an additional 3 years of management experience

2. Position:  Process Managers - 2

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master or higher degree in the relevant field (education, TVET, management, business studies, development studies)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the relevant field (development cooperation, TVET sector, NGO/INGO on planning and development of training and learning materials), an additional 2 years of management experience.

3. Position:  Communication & Knowledge Management Specialist -1

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in the relevant field (degree in communication is preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in communication in the development sector with proven competencies

4. Position: Administration Officer -1

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent with a concentration in HR will be preferable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in admin and HR in the development cooperation sector with donor agencies, international, and national NGOs.

5. Position: Administration Assistant/Receptionist -1

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably in the development cooperation field with donor agencies, international and national NGOs

For all the positions

Duration: One year with the possibility of extension

Duty Station:        NVQS PSU Office, CTEVT Complex, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal
