Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the largest Finnish organization for development cooperation and the second largest provider of humanitarian assistance. FCA operates in 14 countries across four continents and has over 60 years of experience. FCA specializes in supporting local communities in three priority areas: Right to Livelihood, Right to Education and Right to Peace.

POSITIONS

1. PROGRAM MANAGER (1)

Place of Assignment: Kathmandu, FCA Nepal Country Office, with frequent travels to field locations in Nepal.

Primary Purpose of the position: To manage FCA's country program in Nepal with a thematic focus on Right to Livelihood, Right to Education and Right to Peace. The Program Manager shall perform within the framework of FCA's and donors' strategies, policies and guidelines, and promote institutional learning and synergy amongst FCA and partners.

Key Tasks:

Strategic planning and management; Program and project management; People management; Partnership management; Fundraising; Coordination, networking, and representation.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent in development studies, economics, social studies or similar with 10 years of working experience in development cooperation and advocacy programs within the civil society in an international environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in team-leader or management role with strong leadership, conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated organizational and management skills.

2. MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER (1)

Place of Assignment: Kathmandu, FCA Nepal Country Office, with frequent travels to field locations in Nepal.

Primary Purpose of the position: To ensure regular monitoring and quality assurance of the EU funded project "Supporting Collective Voice and Action against Caste Based Discrimination in Nepal", implemented by NNDSWO in collaboration with FCA and MAG.

Key Tasks:

Design and implement an effective monitoring system based on the project M&E plan and Results Based M&E Framework; Responsible for data management including collection, entry, update, analysis, reporting and regular feedback; Lead data review and verification to assure internal consistency and validity of project M&E data; Support the Project Team to prepare project specific plans and reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines with 5 years of experience or Masters degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Strong experience in PMER, data management and research with proven experience in designing Logical framework, M&E plan, and M&E framework.
