Executive Officer Vacancy at Gorkha Municipality WSSMB

Gorkha Municipality, Water Supply and Sanitation Management Board Notice for Application for the Post of Executive Officer.

As per Section 12 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act, 2050, applications are invited for recommendation of a name to be appointed to the post of Executive Officer at the Water Supply and Sanitation Management Board of Gorkha Municipality. The application is called as per Schedule 1 of the Selection Procedure, 2081, as decided by the recommendation committee formed for the purpose.

Details:

1. Must be a Nepali citizen.

2. Educational Qualification and Experience: Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Water Supply and Sanitation or a degree in a related subject from a recognized educational institution in Engineering, registered with the Nepal Engineering Council, and must have at least two (2) years of work experience in the field of water supply and sanitation.

3. Age: Must have completed 25 years of age and not exceeded 45 years as of the last date for submission.

4. As per Sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the Act and other prevailing laws, the applicant must not be disqualified, and must provide a self-declaration according to Schedule-2 of the Selection Procedure, 2081.

5. Interested applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:

   (a) An application clearly mentioning the interest in being appointed to the position.
   (b) Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
   (c) Personal details (Bio Data) showing qualifications, experience, and contact information.
   (d) Copy of academic certificates (if obtained from a foreign institution, equivalency certificate must be included).
   (e) Copy of experience certificates clearly showing the level and period served at the officer level in each tier/category.
   (f) A professional work plan in Nepali language, not exceeding 5,000 words on A4 paper, explaining the leadership role of the Executive Officer and a four-year plan. The work plan must be computer typed, the applicant’s name written only at the top of the first page, and should not appear elsewhere or contain any identity-revealing signs. The plan should be sealed in an envelope.

   The work plan should include:
   (a) Analysis of the current situation and potential of water supply and sanitation within Gorkha Municipality area.
   (b) SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) of the Water Supply and Sanitation Management Board.
   (c) Strategic plan for the future.
   (d) Two recently taken passport-size photographs.

6. Last Date to Submit Application: Within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this notice in the Gorkhapatra Daily (if the last day is a public holiday, then the following working day) within office hours.

7. Evaluation Basis and Candidate Selection Procedure: Can be obtained from the official website of the Gorkha Municipality Office.
