The Embassy of Switzerland offers a competitive salary and benefits package as well as a stimulating team and working environment. We are looking for a young, energetic Nepali national for 2 years fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

1. Executive Office Manager

As a member of the secretarial team, the post holder will assist the Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Cooperation and closely collaborate with the Secretarial Team in areas of coordination between the Ambassador and the Deputy Head of Mission.

The Executive Office Manager supports the Secretarial Team in:

  • Managing contacts within the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and external stakeholders (e.g. other diplomatic missions, international development agencies, offices of the Government of Nepal, etc.);
  • Effectively managing the day-to-day meetings, calendar management, and other associated services (e.g. managing logistics for meetings, coordination of representation events/official dinners, preparation of guests list, etc.);
  • Preparing formal letters, speaking notes, and Diplomatic Notes;
  • Supporting editing and formatting of documents;
  • Arranging programs for visiting missions;
  • Coordinating external and internal meetings and events related to the program of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC);
  • Supporting strategic planning and learning processes, including organization, facilitation, and documentation of these processes;
  • Managing physical archive/filing system of the Swiss International Development Cooperation;
  • He/she will provide relief to the Assistant to the Ambassador's Office and undertake other tasks and responsibilities as/when assigned by the Ambassador or the Deputy Head of Mission.

Required Technical Competence

Master's degree in Business Studies/Business Management or other relevant fields; At least 3 years of experience in relevant field; Excellent English and Nepali language skills, both spoken and written; Excellent knowledge and aptitude of computer and different software applications; Excellent communication skills, including communication with diplomatic missions and offices of the Government of Nepal; Excellent organizational skills.
