Switzerland is committed to supporting Nepal's socio-economic development and federal state building at the national, provincial, and local levels.

Visa and Consular Officer (1)
As a part of the consular team and under the line management of the Head of Consular Affairs the incumbent shall;
- Be the first point of contact for the visa clients of the Swiss Embassy
- Be the first pant of contact for Swiss citizens at the Swiss Embassy
- Ensure and support stable and competent services for all issues of the consular unit towards internal and external clients
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Management with specialisation in relevant field, developed computer skills. Outlook. Word. Excel. ability to learn new computer programmes (e.g. ORB'S, Rich Client, Vision, TV Plus)
- At least 2 years experience in relevant field
The Language / Methodical / Social Competence:
- Excellent command of (written and spoken) of Nepali and English language: Knowledge (written and spoken) of French. German or Italian language is desirable: Good communication skills
- Ready to apply new instructions from the headquarters (visa instructions): Flexible towards changes g., rotating Head of Consular Affairs, new hardware and software systems; High flexibility to work during peak season. While the overall employment is fixed, flexibility with regards to working periods will be required
- Integrity; Self-responsibility/ Independence: Ability to work in a multicultural team; Ability to network: Good Interpersonal Curtesy and Customer Orientation: Strong commitment
to fight against corruption / anti-corruption advocate; Resistant against pressure from internal and external visa requests: Working under pressure: Precision in faring tasks: Able to work and contribute positively in a team; Conscious of responsibility and willing to assure confidentially and professional integrity
