Dolma Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (DAPL) is a reputable investment advisory company based in Nepal that focuses on promoting private sector growth and generating sustainable prosperity. DAPL is currently seeking an Investment Analyst to work under the overall supervision of the Investment Director and direct supervision of the Investment Managers. The role requires a candidate with exceptional analytical and conceptual skills in corporate/project finance and at least three years of full-time corporate experience in the field of finance, business operations, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Investment Analyst
As an Investment Analyst at Dolma Advisors, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake various duties, including:
- Provide initial investment review, screen prospective investment opportunities for the fund, and maintain an internal database of the fund's investment pipeline.
- Evaluate potential companies' information, analyse historical and projected financial statements, prepare financial models and projections, and conduct sensitivity analysis based on market developments and company growth.
- Develop spreadsheets to value prospective investments as well as portfolio companies and participate in negotiations with counterparts.
- Keep track of market developments, relevant sectors, and related government policies and changes through industry and market research.
- Prepare and present investment deals to the investment committee, make suitable recommendations, and report on the progress of existing deals.
- Represent Dolma in various committees of partner companies to create and execute value creation plans for individual companies.
- Meet with portfolio companies to conduct risk reviews of internal processes of their business and provide recommendations and risk mitigation measures.
- Participate in exit process by conducting research on potential national and international buyers of Dolma's portfolio companies and present the outcomes of research to the management.
- Prepare necessary documents for the Fund's internal processes, including quarterly and annual reports.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Dolma Advisors Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Investment Analyst with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time corporate experience in the field of finance, business operations, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
- A Master's degree with a CA, CFA, or law degree is preferred.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills in corporate/project finance.
- Operations experience in the manufacturing field is preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced MS Excel skills with financial modeling.
- Strong presentation skills and proficient use of MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Nepali and English language.
