CRS International Nepal Vacancy for Technical Advisor:

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS Nepal has been implementing the emergency response and recovery (Include Covid-19) program in Nepal, and further plans to extend sustainable livelihood development program in various districts of Nepal.

Additionally, CRS is implementing USAID supported livelihood technical assistance program Farmer to Farmer (F2F) in Bagmati Province, Province 5, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province. The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) is led by CRS Nepal since March 2017.

1. Technical Advisor — Livelihood (1 Position)

Location: Based in Lalitpur

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master's Degree in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Economics, Rural Development, Enterprise Development, or other fields related to livelihoods.
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience in the same level of a technical role, ideally with an international NGO, with a minimum of five years relevant and progressive field-based experience in livelihoods programming.
  • Knowledge of technical principles and concepts in Agriculture, Market-based Livelihoods, Value Chains, and Private Sector Engagement.
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure proper cross-sectoral approach.
  • Experience in project design and proposal development.
  • Experience in writing content for proposals. Knowledge of capacity strengthening best practices. 
  • Experience with program monitoring and evaluation and analysis.
