AWO International was founded in 1998 as a professional association for development cooperation and humanitarian action within the framework of the German Welfare Organization "Arbeiterwohlfahrt" (AWO, literally: Workers' Welfare). AWO International is actively working in Nepal since 2009.
In close cooperation with Governments and Local Non-Governmental Organizations, AWO International is working with different communities and target groups across the country. In the event of disasters and crisis situations, AWO International is actively engaged in Humanitarian Assistance.
To enhance the Humanitarian Assistance in its country portfolio, AWO International is looking for a qualified candidate for the following position:
Job Title: Human Action Coordinator
Job Location: AWO International Office, Lalitpur with regular travel to project region Reporting to Head Representative and Head of Programme
Responsibilities: Responsible for overall coordination and implementation of humanitarian interventions in the project/program region, carries out a focal role in the field during Emergency Response/Recovery interventions and closely coordinates with partners, beneficiaries, local government, and other concerned stakeholders, provide input and drafts concept notes/proposal to access funding streams in close coordination with the HoP/HR. Requirement:
- A postgraduate degree in Disaster Risk Management/Humanitarian Action or similar /related fields
- A minimum of 5-7 years' relevant professional experience in coordinating, developing and implementing humanitarian interventions
