Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vacancy for Senior Financial Control Assistant:
The ADB-Nepal Resident Mission (NRM) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming, and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB's activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions, local think tanks, private sector, and other members of the civil society.
Description of Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Control Assistant will provide support through the performance of a variety of specialized duties relating to the loan/grant/technical assistant (TA) disbursement function of NRM.
Reporting Arrangement:
The staff will report to a designated International Staff (IS) and/or senior National Staff.
Selection Criteria:
Specific criteria include
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Certified Public Accountant designation.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in banking and financial institutions, international and/or multilateral organizations.
- Good analytical thinking with the ability to make the simple causal link, pro- and con- lists and analyses to reach a decision and set priorities for tasks in order of importance.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive contacts with appropriate officials of the host government, private sector, donor agencies, and executing agencies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
- Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets and graphic software, and database management.
- Familiarity with local languages and institutions.
- Good writing and speaking skills in English are essential.
